Senior HR Business Partner

Lead strategic HR and business projects & activities across functions, sites & cultures


Our Human Resources organizationis designed to focus on dedicated HR Business Partnering with the aim of operating more strategically and embedded with the business.


You will be responsible for advising and supporting our leadership/management teams in Supply Chain. The aim of the role is to proactively advise and take lead on initiatives to enhance leadership, competence and organisational development to ensure implementation of our business strategy through organizational performance and happiness. A role that also gives you a seat in the Supply Chain Leadership team as well as in the management teams on our 2 main production sites in Nr. Vium/Videbæk. Your base will be in Nr. Vium/Videbæk with frequent visits to our HQ in Aarhus where SC Leadership Team is sited. Reporting to the Head of HR in AFI, you will be part of a dedicated HR Business team, whose finest task is to enable the business success through organisational health & performance across the entire AFI value chain.


Key HR advisor and business-oriented sparring partner


Your responsibility will be to lead the development and implementation of value adding HR initiatives, primarily in Supply Chain (containing 1100 employees – both white and blue collars) and secondary in ONE AFI as a whole. You will provide professional HR support (including solving hands-on HR tasks) and guidance and be the preferred sparring partner to the leadership/management teams to support them in implementing the overall business strategy as well as in the day-to-day operations. This includes development of managerial teams combined with consultative and coaching activities for managers on an individual level.


Another important part of your job is to ensure that the key HR processes are implemented and anchored throughout the organisation. You are expected to quickly build a solid understanding of the business, the organisation and our people,  and translate your insights into value adding organisational solutions and development activities. One of your first contributions will be leading the implementation in Supply Chain of our AFI specific learning & development concept, named “Development for all”.


Solid business & HR insight combined with consultative skills


You hold a Master’s degree within business, psychology, social science, HRM or an equivalent discipline, and you have solid experience developing organisations, preferably in an international context. Most likely, you have been employed approximately 5 years in a large company as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager or in a similar position – preferable in a Supply Chain heavy organisation, where you excel in working with blue collars as well as understanding the internal workflows and the need of dedicated documentation. Additionally experience from process/pharma industry will also be highly beneficial for your candidature for this position.


Irrespective of your background, you need to have a keen consultative, commercial mind-set, communicative and interpersonal capabilities that enable you to balance between challenging, advising and supporting line managers.


You have an ambitious, energetic and independent yet team oriented personality and use your structured and goal oriented working methods to achieve your own and the department’s goals. You thrive in a busy environment with a lot of challenge and varying tasks, where you succeed by both being strategic in your approach and a “do’er” in your execution. You have a keen interest for organisation, business and people, and you are able to build strong and trusted relations with many stakeholders.


You should be fluent in Danish and English.
