Internship, R&D Process Improvements - Nr. Vium

AFI is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group and a global leader in natural whey ingredients for many different categories including bakery, beverages, dairy, infant and sport nutrition. One of the cornerstones in our business is our dedicated experts that develop solutions with our functional and nutritional whey proteins, milk minerals, lactose and permeate.

Join an experienced team with exiting projects

Your new work place will be at the Innovation Center in Nr. Vium where you will work with outstanding pilot and laboratory facilities. We strive towards a great working atmosphere where cross organizational working relationships are important.

You will join the R&D Deploy - Process Improvements Department where we are currently 10 scientists. Your new colleagues have extensive experience in several areas of dairy technology such as membrane filtration, drying, heat treatment, crystallization and evaporation. Knowledge sharing and technical discussions with colleagues is part of the daily work. 

Internship tasks

During your internship you will typically work on 1-2 different projects in close collaboration with our scientists. Your tasks during your internship will consist of:

• Participation in project meetings
• Literature study
• Plan and perform trials in the laboratory or the Pilot Plant
• Data evaluation
• Writing technical reports
• Presenting data

Your profile

You education is within dairy science, food science, biotechnology, chemical engineering, chemistry or similar.

You have interest and like to work with typical unit operations for dairy/chemical processing. 

You have an out-going and open-minded personality and you like to work both independently and in a team. The work environment is international with several different nationalities. You work in a proactive way.  You speak and write English at a high level.
