“As our new IT Manager, you will take end-to-end responsibility for site IT at Denmark Protein, leading a team of 11 and collaborating across AFI. From day one, you’ll balance operational excellence with strategic development,” says Senior IT Manager, Arla Foods Ingredients; Benny Høgild Brogaard.

How you will make an impact
You will have overall responsibility for IT operations at Danmark Protein, ensuring availability, governance, and continuous improvement of systems and processes. You will lead and develop a team of 11 specialists, work closely with production leadership on daily follow-up and incident management, and provide clear reporting and alignment to management.

You can look forward to the following responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end IT operations at the site, including uptime, stability, and governance
• Lead and develop a team of 11, setting direction and driving the IT function forward
• Partner daily with production to follow up on performance, escalate incidents, and ensure swift resolution
• Drive continuous improvement and participate in project groups within IT and cross-functional initiatives
• Provide structured IT reporting to management and contribute to the site’s business plan

The role is permanent and reports to the Senior IT Manager, Arla Foods Ingredients, with a close peer network across sites (including Arinco).

What will make you successful
We imagine that the right candidate brings a strong IT foundation and a strategic approach to operations in a larger organisation. You are an IT generalist who can both run and evolve the function, ideally with experience from food or manufacturing companies. You’re comfortable with a 24/7 operation and understand the importance of clear escalation, communication, and stakeholder alignment.

Moreover, you bring:

• Relevant IT degree (minimum AP Computer Science/Data Technician; ideally MSc in IT or similar)
• 7+ years of experience in IT operations in a larger company; manufacturing/food industry experience is an advantage
• Proven leadership experience, leading teams or projects, and a strong desire to develop within this direction
• Experience with incident management, governance, and structured reporting to leadership
• In-depth knowledge of SLA agreements, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) is an advantage
• You have a strong sense of quality, and the ability to prioritize and lead the team during busy periods, ensuring that support and project deliverables are executed correctly.
• Fluency in Danish and English
