Video Editor - Viby, Aarhus

Are you our new video editor? Does moving images and post-production get you out of bed in the morning? Then come join us at Arla’s in-house agency The Barn. We are creating thump-stopping content for our global FMCG brands.

 

In Arla, a new content studio has seen the light of day – a creative hub from which all future digital content will be developed. And we would like you to join us.

 

The Barn, you say. What’s that?

 

Our in-house agency – The Barn – was established in 2019 to help our global and local brands win in a world of increasing media complexity. Today, we have strong teams specializing in campaign development, and content production. We work interdisciplinary and we are curious, data driven, and result oriented. You’ll be working alongside specialists within production as well as other nice colleagues in strategy, planning, media buying, data analysis, tech and creative development.

 

Here’s the essence of your new job:

 

Working closely with our producers and creatives in the content team, you use your video editing skills to build brand stories and campaign content across our paid and owned channels. This includes our global Arla brands such as Lurpak and Castello but also highly strategic Danish brands like Kærgården and Karolines Køkken. You’ll work with new engaging video content as well as editing and optimising exiting material. The ideal candidate has a passion for editing and proven track record showcasing both creative and technical skills.

 

In your day to day job as and editor in The Barn, you will:

 

  • Turn briefs into edits that are fit for the entire media landscape: commercials, cinema, social, product and recipe videos among other formats.
  • Work alongside skilled agency specialists such as Art Directors, Producers and Media Buyers to create engaging creative content for our end-users.
  • Handle, prep & transcode various video formats from production to the various stages of post-production staying on top of the workflow including file management and transcoding.
  • Help develop production tests, mood films and internal content.
  • Perform quality checks for QC.

Can you tick off the below?

 

You have an excellent understanding of branded video content, allowing you to build brand stories and understand digital format delivery. You love experimenting with new technologies, software, and techniques to create highly engaging content. Moreover, you have strong communications skills, allowing you to liaise with internal and external stakeholders as well as your team.

 

You also bring:

 

  • Great attention to detail and even better concentration skills.
  • Solid experience from a similar role within a production house, creative digital agency or inhouse department.
  • Problem solving skills and a creative and critical mindset which shines through on the editing table and in the quality of your output.
  • An excellent understanding of editing, visual flow and storytelling. including reviews and editing of scripts.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software, especially Premiere Pro and After Effect, and maybe other relevant software such as Davinci Ressolve.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and handle high complexity projects with many master files.
  • Fluency in English and Danish.
  • Good understanding of digital and traditional advertising placements and how to tailor your edits to different media placements.
