Trade Promotions Manager, Eurozone - Aarhus

The Future Trade Investment (FTI) initiative is about step changing the way we manage and optimize our trade promotions in Arla Foods. It is about integrating people, processes and data to secure that we are able to drive valuable promotions for our customers and Arla Foods. It is about enabling more efficient promotions, securing transparency of our promotion data and reducing complexity in our promotion setup.

 

The role as Trade Promotion Manager is a new role in the Eurozone sales business, established to drive further adoption and value in the markets from our Trade Promotion Management investment in the FTI initiative.

 

About the job

As Trade Promotion Manager, you will play a key role in securing value creation, anchoring of and continuously improving our trade promotion capabilities across Arla European markets. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Building and driving the improvement plan for Trade Promotions in the Eurozone to drive continuous improvement of Promo capabilities (system, data, process) across Arla incl. setting and measuring KPI’s to deliver efficient and solid promotion processes and great data quality.
  • Monitor the status of Promotion activities to identify problem areas and adapt procedures to improve the overall performance of our promotions.
  • Drive the smooth implementation of new promotion optimization technologies and processes across markets, maximizing value creation for the commercial organisation & eliminating manual input and duplication.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and facilitate alignment across functions, to ensure we are all aiming for the same goal with the same plan.
  • Bridge the gap between the super users, the IT community in Arla and the vendor, manage the expectations across the stakeholder map.                                              
  • Ensure the Arla agenda on the vendor roadmap and that the Arla busines is ready for new functionality from the vendor.
  • Assist the Business and Product Owner in having a suitable roadmap, a matured backlog of business problems to solve and funding for solving them through the Arla investment process.

You work at a tactical and operational level to drive the ambitions for FTI and support the implementation of Arla´s commercial strategy. Together with the teams in the European markets you implement the improvement opportunities and business needs. Moreover, we expect you to have

 

  • Deep commercial and process understanding of trade promotion management and optimization
  • 7+ years of work experience
  • Experience with Trade Promotion Management and Optimization tools
  • Ability to manage large sets of data and present results in a simple manner
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills in English. Danish, German or Swedish would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities

  • Partly responsible for managing the constraints of the project, including cost, time, scope and quality of outcome.

  • Participates in the development of Arla Foods project culture by giving feedback on existing or new tools/systems/processes relevant to project management in Arla Foods.

Educational background/Experience

  • Documented experienced as a small/medium-scale project manager.
  • Documented experience as a project team member in a large-scale project.
  • One year of business management experience.
