How you will make an impact

As a Sustainability Data Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the identification and exchange of farm-related sustainability data, thereby driving the green transition through our FarmAhead tools.

You will manage the overall process from identification to integration of farm-related sustainability data sources. This involves identifying and understanding the available data and determining how it can support our FarmAhead tools ensuring the fit and quality of the data. Further, you will ensure the transfer of the relevant data points from the external databases into Arla’s data environment and tools in close collaboration with the IT team.

This effort is a part of a major project focusing on digital farms and supports our ambition of simplifying life for our farmers by integrating data sources reducing the need for farmers to manually enter data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall process of identifying, evaluating and integrating farm-related sustainability data from external data sources into Arla’s data environment and FarmAhead tools
• Explore relevant farm-related sustainability data providers across Arla’s 7 farmer owner countries and establish dialogues
• Evaluate the relevancy and fit of the identified sustainability data to Arla’s FarmAhead tools in cooperation with Arla’s sustainability experts
• Outline the sustainability data roadmap and align priorities with the IT team
• Continuously improve the quality and accuracy of already integrated sustainability data to our FarmAhead tools
• Support Arla procurement and legal teams in contractual dialogues with external data providers

What will make you successful

To thrive in this role, we believe you have an agricultural background, a strong interest in farm-related sustainability data and a proven experience within project management enabling you to effectively lead and coordinate projects with multiple stakeholders.

You have a good understanding of agricultural data potentially from past experience working with farm-related databases such as dairy cow movement, nutrition or plant production databases, allowing you to evaluate the fit of farm-related sustainability data to Arla’s FarmAhead tools.

You have strong project management skills, enabling you to lead and coordinate projects involving multiple stakeholders, and align priorities with different teams. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial for establishing dialogues with external data providers and collaborating with internal teams, including IT, procurement and legal departments.

Above all, having a strong drive and structured mindset is critical to effectively manage the identification and integration of sustainability data simplifying life for farmers and contributing to propel the green transition forward.
