You will take lead in supplier selection, tendering, negotiation and contracting and you will ensure cost competitiveness and compliance to Arla commercial standards,” says Procurement Sr. Director Ninna Normand Helles.

 

You will be part of the commercial sourcing area of CMUC, covering Capex, MRO, Utilities and Chemicals, within our Global Procurement organization, which is spread across Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Poland and Hong Kong.

 

How you will make an impact

As Senior Sourcing Manager for strategic Capex projects you will be working closely together with colleagues in Procurement, engage with Arla’s Engineering & Technology function, with Arla sites (dairies) and suppliers of production equipment and constructions, to;

  • Provide strong souring management to ensure competitiveness and cost optimization.
  • Define sourcing plan and strategy for the strategic projects and identify relevant potential suppliers for different parts of the projects.
  • Define and compile tender packages and material.
  • Manage and conduct TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis and BOVA (best optional value alternative) and recommend decisions accordingly.
  • Conduct supplier negotiation and contracting.
  • Ensure internal compliance with our Arla Capex sourcing process as well as supplier compliance to Arla commercial standards and mitigate contractual risk.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance related to strategic projects.
  • Act as escalation point in case of risk of non-compliance.

 

Travel activity on a regular basis is required for this role, as the strategic project will be linked to various locations in Europe, where physical presence will be required at times, at Arla locations or at suppliers.

 

What will make you successful

To excel in this role, your background covers a relevant education, preferably a commercial degree at Master level and you possess profound experience within sourcing execution, mastering a complete sourcing toolbox – covering tendering, negotiation and contracting.

In addition;

  • You have knowledge with the area of production equipment and construction (CAPEX) as well as relevant knowledge of the supplier landscape and capabilities across categories and sub-categories within this area.
  • You have experience from other Procurement positions, where you have dealt specifically with sourcing of Capex, specifically construction and production equipment – preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Your experience is gained within international production companies and you are comfortable navigation in large organizations with a geographically wide spread landscape of stakeholders.
  • Alternatively you may have a technical or engineering background and experience with development and specification of production equipment and technology, from an engineering organization in an international organization with production, combined with sourcing experience.
  • Lastly, you are fluent in written and spoken English.
