Senior Procurement Category Manager for IT, Aarhus

About the job

Within our Business Service function dedicated to a wide array of indirect procurement categories, you will become a part of a smaller team focused on IT procurement.


While your 2 fellow colleagues in the IT procurement team will handle procurement of hardware, communications, services, automation, etc., you will dedicate yourself mainly to the procurement of software and IT consultancy services.


With responsibility for driving and optimising procurement for your categories, you will:


  • Define, develop and implement the sourcing strategy as well as tools and processes to facilitate sourcing decisions within your categories
  • Manage tender and negotiation projects, involving and efficiently coordinating between colleagues and suppliers
  • Develop and launch RFQs and RFPs to select suppliers in targeted categories and countries
  • Analyse proposals and make recommendations to key internal stakeholders
  • Establish and further develop optimal relationships with our suppliers, ensuring that they meet agreed standards and prices
  • Negotiate contracts and lead contract ratification activities, in collaboration with our VMO within IT, to ensure they meet agreed standards, time frames and prices


Who are you?

It is vital that you are seasoned in stakeholder management and know how to keep processes going through thoughtful communication and flexible project management.


It is likewise important that you have a good understanding of complex negotiations and contracts and the commercial aspects behind them.


Furthermore, you:


  • Have several years of experience with procurement, preferably within IT
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English
