Senior Manager, IT Supply Chain - Department Manager & Delivery Lead - Viby or Gdansk

We now have an open position as Senior Manager and Release Train Engineer (RTE) in the IT supply chain organization. As RTE, you will be working closely together with the rest of the management team and be responsible for delivering the portfolio of projects through your scrum teams.

How you will make an impact

You will have the overall responsibility for planning and execution of activities in alignment with business plans and get to work with a various landscape of internally and externally managed applications. You will be working in a scaled agile setup (SAFe) with agile teams, but also with project managers to drive larger initiatives. Thus, in close collaboration with our business, you will take part in delivering on our strategic important initiatives on both IT side and support supply chains engineering projects. It will be your responsibility to optimize and balance the delivery model to ensure this is fit for purpose based on the scope of the initiatives and balance between full agile vs. more traditional methods.

Your role will be to create a high performing organization  as well as managing vendor relations and agreements. As an empathic people manager, you will drive, develop and coach your team to become even more effective and not least stay highly motivated.

Further, you will:

• Manage the area’s ’s budget and resources and secure proper resource allocation incl. external resources (vendors)
• Ensure tracking of deliveries and reporting to stakeholders
• Agree on and align team performance targets to secure optimal utilization of implemented solutions/systems
• Be responsible for all vendor/supplier management including contracting and quality assurance
• Drive further solution standardization, optimized usage and better utilization of new and existing applications 

What will make you successful

The ideal candidate is passionate about people management and is motivated by inspiring and supporting your team to grow and thrive. You have an agile mindset combined with a strong delivery/result focus. You have a proven track-record in delivering on larger IT programs and great experience in driving change with success. Here, your structured approach and organizing skills enable you to manage the project’s budget and resources and not least ensure high quality in the delivery. You can be described as a strong collaborator and facilitator, able to handle cooperation across different functions, locations, cultures and vendors. Your high engagement and energy allow you to move and look for new ways to improve current ways of working.

Furthermore, you have:

• Experience as a people manager for several teams
• Experience with working Agile, preferably SAFe
• Proven project or program management experience (Prince2/IPMA/PMI certification an advantage)
• At least 5 years of experience within IT projects
• Experience with supply chain in the FMCG industry is a clear advantage
