Senior M&A Associate - Aarhus

This is a unique opportunity to become part of Arla Foods’ Corporate M&A Department, where you will join a dynamic team of six highly-skilled M&A professionals and where ambition, performance and fun go hand-in-hand.

 

Arla Foods Corporate M&A

 

Arla Foods' M&A department is responsible for advising and supporting Arla Foods' Executive Management Team and Business Groups in a range of activities including mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and strategic partnerships. The team works in close partnership with the business on a day to day basis, allowing it to provide insightful advice and support on all aspects of the transaction cycle, from origination through to valuation, process execution, due diligence, negotiation as well as integration.

 

The position

 

As Senior M&A Associate you will be responsible for:

  • Together with Business Groups evaluate the attractiveness and viability of M&A opportunities across strategic fit, financial KPI's and sustainability impact
  • Ensuring strong management of projects from start to finish in close collaboration with the Lead M&A Project Manager, Business Groups, other corporate functions and external advisors
  • Leading the preparation of decision material for our Senior Management and Board of Directors
  • Organising and driving due diligence processes including communication with advisors and coordinating results of findings while bridging the due diligence and PMI processes
  • Further developing and strengthening our M&A execution toolbox, our ways of working and Arla Foods' M&A pipeline supporting our Future26 strategy
     

The position offers an excellent opportunity for experiencing a steep learning curve adding further development to your M&A toolbox within an international organization as well as building a strong business acumen. You will be based in our corporate headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark and report to the Head of M&A. Some degree of travelling should be expected in the position.

 

Your profile

 

You likely hold a Master's degree within finance/economics or similar and have 2-3 years of experience from an investment bank, financial advisory or corporate M&A function within a major international organization, where you have developed a strong financial and problem-solving toolbox. Strong project management skills are essential since you will be working across many markets, Business Groups and stakeholders.

You are a skilled communicator, fluent in English and are able to translate complex content into clear recommendations. You are an extrovert team player with an open mindset and with a drive that lies far above average. Your independence and can-do-attitude enables you to take the lead driving projects and come up with ambitious and creative solutions adding value to Arla Foods and our farmer owners.
