We now have an open position in the Planning Agile Release Train (ART). In the role, you will be working closely together with the rest of the management team and be responsible for delivering the portfolio of projects with support from a number of high performing scrum teams.


“The Planning ART is responsible for implementing solutions to support Arla’s end-to-end planning ambitions of creating global efficiency, reduce waste, improve service and strengthen the end-to-end alignment across our business. The ART works with SAP solutions as well as related advanced analytics solutions in order to optimize the utilization of our key raw material, the milk, and meet customer demands” explains IT Director, Michael Fiil.


How you will make an impact

You will have the responsibility for planning and execution of activities in alignment with business plans and get to work with a various landscape of internally and externally managed applications. You will likewise be working in a scaled agile setup (SAFe) with cross functional agile teams in close collaboration with our business. Further, your role will be to create a high performing organization by building up and guiding  diverse teams of highly skilled solution architects, consultants, scrum masters and change management consultants as well as managing vendor relations and agreements.


As a people manager, you will support, develop and coach your team to ensure engagement and motivation and improve efficiency. Further, you will play an active part in the management team and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a strong collaboration across the end-to-end planning programme.  


Moreover, you will:

  • Manage the function’s budget and resources
  • Be responsible for securing proper resource allocation incl. external resources (vendors)
  • Agree on and align team performance targets to secure optimal utilization of implemented solutions/systems
  • Be responsible for all vendor/supplier management including quality assurance
  • Drive further solution standardization, optimized usage and better utilization of new and existing applications 


What will make you successful

The ideal candidate has an agile mindset combined with a strong delivery/result focus. You have a proven track-record in delivering on larger IT programs and great experience in driving change with success. You can be described as a strong collaborator and facilitator, able to handle cooperation across different functions, locations, cultures and vendors. Your high engagement and energy allow you to move and look for new ways to improve current ways of working.


Furthermore, you have:

  • Experience as a people manager for several teams
  • Experience with working Agile, preferably SAFe
  • Proven project or program management experience (Prince2/IPMA/PMI certification an advantage)
  • At least 5-10 years of experience within IT projects
  • Preferably dxperience with Planning solutions and/or exposure to Supply Chain topics in the products industry is a clear advantage
