Senior IT Manager & Release Train Engineer - SC Planning, Viby

We now have an open position as Senior IT Manager and Release Train Engineer (RTE) in the Supply Chain Planning (S&OP, Demand, Supply, Site scheduling ) Agile Release Train area where you will be responsible for delivering the portfolio of projects through a high performing team.

 

About the job

You will join an international department and you will be working with many colleagues in and outside Europe. Our team is responsible for the development of the SC Planning landscape in Arla, which includes IT systems for S&OP, strategic planning, demand planning, supply network planning and optimization, rough cut capacity planning, and factory scheduling systems, reporting tools.

 

You are the team lead responsible of delivering a project portfolio of IT solutions, including turning business needs into project requests, drive the process to ensure funding and leading/managing the actual project/EPIC execution. This includes building up and leading a team of highly skilled solution consultants and scrum masters as well as managing vendor relations and agreements, budget spend, headcount, etc..

 

You will be working in a scaled agile setup (SAFe) with cross functional agile teams with colleagues not just from IT Solutions and external consultants but also SC business colleagues as part of the team in an international hybrid setup. We strongly believe in agile ways of working, frequent and fast deliveries, focus on business value and empowerment.

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Have overall responsibility for planning and execution of activities in alignment with corporate objectives for IT Strategy and business plans
  • Manage the function’s budget and people resources
  • Be responsible for securing proper resource allocation – both own and external resources (vendors)
  • Secure from other areas to commit sufficient resources (within or outside IT organization)
  • Proactively agree on and align team performance targets to Arla Foods IT’s overall targets (timely, consistently, quality-wise etc.)
  • Be responsible for all vendor/supplier management including quality assurance
  • Lead team towards business to secure optimal use and utilization of the implemented solutions/systems
  • Lead and develop and coach your team towards further solution standardization, optimized usage and better utilization of new and existing applications
  • Be a skilled, ambitious yet empathic people manager for your team and surrounding colleagues.
  • Be an active player in the team of RTE’s and the RTE Community of Practice.
     

Who are you?
You have an agile mindset combines with a strong delivery/result focus. You can be described as a strong collaborator and facilitator, able to handle cooperation across different functions, locations, cultures and vendors. Your high engagement and energy allow you to move and look for new ways to improve current ways of working.

 

Furthermore, you have:

  • Education at Bachelor/Master’s level within Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or Business administration
  • Experience with working Agile, preferably SAFe experience
  • A Prince2/IPMA certification or similar
  • At least 8 years of experience within IT development
  • Strong experience in managing IT solution delivery teams
  • Experience as a people manager
  • Broad experience with various Digital tools in the Supply Chain Planning space will be an advantage but not a requirement
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to do limited business travelling.
