Senior Finance Specialist for Logistics - System/Technical focused, Aarhus

In Arla, we are currently working on a large project called Logistics Transparency. This project aims to create transparency of cost-to-serve for customers and products at Arla by providing detailed understanding of cost drivers which will step-change our performance management infrastructure to enable cross functional decision-making that will improve the milk price. But Transparency is much more than data insights, it will enable new ways of working and new strategies for Arla.

 

One of the key pillars of Transparency organization is the backbone team – who are accountable for continuous improvement by ensuring new ways of allocating cost, new functionalities and user feedback and continuously incorporated and new versions released. Reporting into the Finance Director – Process Optimisation, you will work with many different stakeholders to continuously improve and develop the solution.

 

As an internal Super User in the new system, you will work with colleagues to develop and optimize across key focus areas like cost allocation, variance reporting, logistics cost models and reporting tools. You will onboard and support colleagues in understanding the system and taking action on trends and issues that might arise. Other responsibilities include:

 

  • Establishing the setup of the system for new business areas within Arla Foods
  • Working closely with 3rd party vendors within warehouse and transportation for establish the right data foundation to our new system.
  • Establishing a clear and robust master data setup with a focus on the highest data quality
  • Providing technical support to your finance colleagues and other relevant stakeholders in the supply chain.
  • Being the link between Arla IT and Supply Chain Finance – ensuring the backlog is prioritized and worked through effectively.

 

Who are you?

 

You are ideally educated at a Masters level in Finance, IT, Supply Chain or another relevant area with 5+ years of experience of working within finance and on large projects. You have a strong understanding of supply chain/logistics and the financial complexities behind it. You have a good technical understanding of systems (eg SAP, Power BI)  with the knowledge, creativity and drive to optimize systems and processes to meet the needs of the business.

 

You are an engaging communicator who can easily translate technical topics into a language that all stakeholders can understand and buy in to.
