Senior HR Director - Aarhus

Can you set the strategic HR agenda in a global growth-driven company? If so, you might be our future Senior HR Director in Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI).  

 

AFI is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group, with a clear vision of becoming the true global leader in value-added whey. The past 5 years the company has grown 6-8% every year and annual turnover has exceeded 800m EUR. Our ambitions for growth will lead also the coming strategy plan.

 

HQ is based in Aarhus, Denmark, with production facilities in Denmark and Argentina.

 

Key advisor and strategic sparring partner

 

Overall, you will act as a key advisor and sparring partner to the leadership team on implementing the overall business strategy as well as managing the day-to-day operation.

 

“We need to ensure that HR delivers a strong service to the business – both to the operator at a site, to the scientist at our new research centre and to the business unit manager meeting our customers. Because once “the bread and butter” is there, we get the support to add more ambitions,” CEO Henrik Andersen states.

 

The Senior HR Director heads up a team of 3 HR Business Partners and 1 employer branding consultant – all very self-driven and competent colleagues.

 

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and lead the implementation of the People strategy and you will identify people and organizational needs to meet the business strategy and drive implementation – and function as a guardian of HR excellence.

It is also part of your job to ensure that the key HR processes are implemented and anchored throughout the organization and to provide professional support and advice for the line management on all issues in the employee life-cycle.  The key HR processes are aligned with Arla Foods and you will be working closely together with stakeholders at Arla, eg in services such as payroll, recruitment,  leadership development, etc.

 

This position will give you a unique opportunity to work across a complex supply chain from R&D, Supply Chain and Commercial, while significantly influence and support the global commercial people agenda of a dynamic company. You will be part of a solid network across AFI and Arla Foods and will report directly to CEO.  

 

Solid HR insight and strong people skills

 

You have a background as HR Director in a large, global company and thanks to your strong business acumen you have already proven your talent of executing strategies together with leaders at all organizational levels.

 

You know that succeeding is never a single (wo)man’s effort or job, and you take pride in building your team in the role as inspirator and motivator, and to collaborate across the organisation to create synergies where possible.

 

You have worked at both local and global roles in HR managing multiple stakeholders. This requires personal impact, strong self-organizing skills, authority and pace. Your level of drive lies above average, and thanks to you can-do attitude you can easily motivate your stakeholders and create sustainable results in a changing environment as well as deliver those outcomes. You always aim for the best solution in the long run, but knows that you need to go from good to be really great.

 

You either hold a relevant degree within Business, HRM or an equivalent discipline and your solid experience in developing organizations and leaders has given you in-depth knowledge of both strategic and operational HR.
