We are looking for a Senior Category Manager for the “Cheese, Butter, Cooking" categories in Arla Denmark. Your main focus area will be to identify, lead and drive a wide range of category opportunities across the Cheese, Butter and Cooking categories in collaboration with the brand managers. You will join a Marketing department with 50 strong and dedicated colleagues based in Aarhus (Viby) and report to the Category Director of ‘Cheese, BSM & Cooking’.
How you will make an impact
As Senior Category Manager, you will identify and develop category growth opportunities while shaping the long-term direction through strategic planning in close collaboration with brand managers and other relevant stakeholders. Additionally, you will independently lead various projects to ensure our product portfolio meets category, customer, and consumer needs, using insights from data and securing alignment across key stakeholders.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Develop growth opportunities across categories by finding pockets of growth and white spots, and define a plan for how to pursue these opportunities
- Be the category champion by understanding the full category, hence the development and dynamics from other players in the category, private label development, pricing development etc.
- P&L owner; responsible for performance and development of the category, and develop short and long term corrective actions to ensure on-going growth
- Ensure execution of category strategies and big bets relevant across the three categories
- Sparring partner to the Category Director in terms of long term development of the categories and prioritization of new opportunities
- Facilitate a close dialogue towards sales, to ensure timely alignment of customer opportunities and strong sales buy in on category opportunities

You are an experienced and structured individual, with high ambitions and a strong desire to succeed. You possess a high degree of engagement and drive, and at the same time, you are structured and quality conscious with the ability to think strategically as well as operationally. Further, you have a strong commercial mindset, enabling you to focus on our customers and consumers.
Moreover, you:
- Bring +5 years of experience, preferably from FMCG within marketing/category/sales or similar
- Have strong stakeholder management skills, enabling you to handle several tasks and stakeholder groups at the same time
- Have the ability to balance an operational and strategic focus, always with a high standard for the work you do
- Take lead and have the ability to move things forward through structure and strong problem solving skills
- Work independently but still ensure timely alignment and sparring
- Have a can-do attitude and are able to cope well with changes
