Senior Architect (Automation) - Aarhus or Gdansk

Arla's Automation platform is crucial for our digitalization agenda. We strive to equip all production sites with cutting-edge technologies, robust PLC and SCADA system standards, and leverage Industrial 4.0 and IIOT initiatives whenever possible.

How you will make an impact

Your primary area of responsibility will be to maintain and further develop our standardized automation platform for our primary hardware architecture based on Siemens & Rockwell PLCs. You will be working in close collaboration with our other architect to shape the future of automation in Arla.  Furthermore, as our Automation Architect, you will be responsible for the generalization of the automation platform across our production facilities, which fits our overall infrastructure and meets the needs of internal customers at the production sites.

More specifically, you will:

• Develop target architecture, technical guidelines, and IT governance for a scalable automation platform.
• Be a key player finding next generation technologies to build automation and digital platform solutions.
• Create technical roadmaps, user requirement specifications and design documents, which enables the development and maintenance of standard automation templates by our trusted vendors. 
• Participate in workshops and meetings with relevant business, stakeholders, vendors, and other project participants, also managing technical parts of vendor contracts.
• Contribute to the development of existing and new IT solutions.

What will make you successful?

The right candidate has significant experience within the Automation System domain and related requirements to Manufacturing processes.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

• Have a Master’s/bachelor’s degree within IT, Automation, Electronic Engineering or other relevant areas.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience with architectural related work (Solution, Lead or Service Architect), delivering documentation for both decision makers and developers.
• Can translate business needs into specialized IT competencies, involving multiple IT disciplines.
• Have a strong business process understanding, enabling you to engage in dialogue with your product owner & business owners.
• We expect you to be fluent in English in writing and speaking.
