Senior Account Lead - Aarhus

The Barn was created in 2018 to help Arla’s global and local brands win in a world of increasing media complexity. Our growth and success have been tremendous, and today, we have a strong team specializing in campaign development and digital asset creation, strategy and planning, analytics, media buying and tech. We produce in-house, we work interdisciplinary, we are curious, data-driven, result-oriented and human-centered.

Our clients are our colleagues. This means we partner up and focus our energy on building the best communication and solutions for our wonderful range of global and local brands such as Kærgården, Lurpak, Cheasy, Castello, Starbucks, Cocio and obviously Arla.

 

We’ve gone from 7 to 60 employees in three years, and we’re not done expanding.  In this new role as Senior Account Lead, you will get a central role in further building and professionalizing our client services setup.

 

About the job 

 

As Senior Account Lead, you will join the Account Management team in The Barn, and together with your colleagues in The Barn, you will work closely with our brand teams in delivering them best-in-class creative campaigns. The Account Management team is the primary link between The Barn and the brands, and thus you will be representing The Barn towards the brands and representing the brands within The Barn ensuring their perspective is understood and objectives are being met. 

 

As our new Senior Account Lead you will take lead on 1-2 brands yourself. This means that you will be managing the day-to-day relationship with those brands , and you will be a strategic sparring partner collaborating with them on brand plans and briefs that will drive their business objectives.  On top of that, you will also be responsible for building strong relationships across brands with more senior stakeholders in Arla, as well as taking charge of defining, optimizing and running key strategic processes that the team is responsible for, such as our yearly business planning process. The role is thus also focused on improving how we deliver overall towards our customers, which means that you will:

 

  • Identify opportunities to continue to professionalize and increase the effectiveness of Account Management in the Barn
  • Define, optimize, and run the yearly business planning process, where we have strategic discussions with the brands and create a pipeline of projects for the year to come
  • Facilitate the bi-annual review process, where we assess the outcome of recent work and identify key learnings for ourselves and our brands
  • Be a sparring partner to the rest of the Account Management team
  • Regularly present key themes or case studies in the Barn and in Arla to share learnings and thought leadership

 

All in all, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening and professionalizing The Barn’s relationship and collaboration with our brands, all while working with a great group of people to deliver outstanding creative work that grows the Arla business. 

 

Who are you? 
The perfect candidate has 8+ years of experience either from the agency side (probably as Senior Account or Client Director) or the client side as Senior Brand Manager with extensive experience working with creative development and agencies. We also hope you have some previous experience working with digital marketing.

 

You are a skilled communicator who knows how to tailor the message to the receiver, and can inspire and motivate others. You are strategic and analytical, with a strong ability to think a few steps ahead, define problems, find creative solutions, and manage complex processes. This is actually what you love about the agency business.

 

If we asked people about you, they would most likely say that you are great at creating relationships and handling many different stakeholders – and that you possess the rare combination of being creative while also highly organized.

 

You must be fluent in English.
