Research Scientist focusing on infant gut development and health, Pediatric nutrition - Aarhus

You secure scientific evidence of our ingredients within gut development and health.

You will become part of the department business area Pediatric, which is responsible for developing, documenting and selling ingredients to the global pediatric nutrition industry. You will contribute to the business by developing/generating and communicating scientific evidence within your area of expertise.

You will join a team of five highly skilled Nutrition Scientists and the position will enclose broad collaborative network with our highly professional peers and stakeholders in Arla, relevant academia partners and companies in the pediatric nutrition industry.

 

About the job

You will collect, generate and communicate scientific evidence of our ingredients linked to infant gut development and health. It will be your responsibility to manage pre-clinical and clinical trials within the area of gut development and health, and you will be overall accountable for securing the science evidence supporting our ingredients within this field.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collect and review scientific evidence within gut area and early life nutrition
  • Develop and drive our documentation strategy incl. relevant pre-clinical model systems
  • Identify manage pre-clinical trials and clinical collaborations within academia and industry partners in accordance with strategy
  • Develop and transfer tailored science content to AFI sales, customers and stakeholders
  • Track nutrition science developments of relevance and convert insights into business opportunities
  • Secure nutrition-based insights in our marketing material
  • Contribute to fuel our innovation pipeline

Other responsibilities includes contribute to our research strategy and regulatory dossiers for ingredient approvals.

 

Skilled Scientist and project manager with gut physiology, microbiota background and good communication skills

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD degree within the field of gut physiology and/or microbiota research or minimum MSc with some years of relevant experience. Post-doctoral or similar experience within the field of the area is preferred. You are capable of navigating within relevant methodologies and secure the prober interpretation of complex data within the gut  research area. Experience with managing pre-clinical trials in the areas is preferred.

 

In addition to your educational background you have:

  • Skilled in translating and communicating science 
  • Experience as project manager, capable of defining goals and achieve them
  • Strong communication skills with strong proficiencies in, both verbal and written, Danish and English.

You should expect approx. 20 travel days visiting customers presenting, joining relevant conferences and collaboration projects with academia.
