Arla Foods Ingredients is seeking a visionary Director for our Global QEHS organistion to continue the strategic direction and ensuring excellence across our operations and safeguarding our reputation as a leader in food quality and safety. How you will make an impact

As QEHS Director you will hold a pivotal role, responsible for continuing and building on the strategic direction that has been laid out with regards to quality and food safety, ensuring that Arla Foods Ingredients are continuously referred to as being among the best in the industry.

Your leadership will ensure that our processes, systems, and standards are exemplary and ready to scale globally as we continue to grow, and your coaching leadership style will ensure that both your direct employees and the QEHS organisation continue to feel engaged and willing to take ownership in the daily work.

As our new QEHS Director, you will assume the overall responsibility for all QEHS processes, system, standards and direction. And you will be responsible for overall product crisis management and product quality and release, executed through local quality management, ensuring high standards and consumer safety. In addition, you can look forward to take ownership of the following, not exhaustive areas:

• Define, drive, deliver and communicate the Arla Foods Ingredients QEHS direction, policies, global processes and mandatory standards to all the relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure alignment of AFI Quality and Food Safety direction to legislation, industry standards and customer strategies.
• Drive the digital journey within QEHS
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), protecting both employees and customers.
• Promote organizational knowledge sharing and engage with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry bodies.
• Develop and manage the QEHS function and teams, ensuring engagement and wellbeing, compliance, and best practices.
• Ensure strong collaborative relation within our value chain of suppliers and customers

What will make you successful

We don´t necessarily foresee that our next QEHS Director is a highly specialized food quality profile, as you could also bring more broad experience from pharma, biotech or food. We imagine that the ideal candidate could have a degree in pharma, food science, biotech, technology, or chemistry, combined with concrete experience in infant, FSMP, or pharma products/ingredients. What is of utmost importance to us is your ability to improve and develop both business and people.

Furthermore, you are characterized by your

• Strong business understanding and cross functional mindset
• Structured working methods, self-supporting execution, and strong coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business understanding, and risk-based decision-making.
• Technology Proficiency – and ability to see the potential in digitalization within the QEHS area, as we scale to grow. 
• Proactive and goal-oriented approach to getting things done combined with a passion for detail and analysis.
• Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building and effective team play.
