You will join 200 colleagues in Arla Procurement spread across many countries among others, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, UK, Poland, Dubai and Hong Kong. On behalf of our global organisation, we manage procurement activities of an annual spend of ~3.5 billion EUR.

About the job

In this Maternity Cover as Procurement Contract Manager within our Logistics Services procurement team, you will play a vital role in securing Arla’s contractual obligations with our suppliers. You will be the contract expert in the team securing great collaboration with especially purchaser colleagues, internal Legal resource but also stakeholders and suppliers.

The main responsibilities:

In this role you will work closely with Category Managers within the Logistics Services team to negotiate the contracts with our suppliers.  You will be responsible for ensuring coverage of all contract aspects including legal terms, implementation of requirements in line with internal Arla policies as well as the assessment of relevance of NDA’s and DPA’s.

You will be responsible for ensuring that performance requirements are agreed in the contracts, as well as you will play a vital role in driving the implementation of our SRM tool (Supplier Relationship Management), in collaboration with the Category Managers, to enable correct structure of the tool and the effective tracking of performance measures. 

As representative of the Logistics Services procurement team, you will join an existing Contract Council consisting of colleagues from Legal and other procurement teams where the aim is to improve the Procurement contract templates, processes and Ways of Working within the area of contracts.

Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring negotiated contracts are implemented into our internal contract module, to manage agreed performance measures in collaboration with the Category Managers and ensure contracts are continuously updated with relevant legislation and internal/external regulatory demands. 

With your interest in Legal topics, ability to collaborate broad and eagerness to keep improving you will be able to succeed.

Qualifications

• Relevant education and 2+ years of experience in a similar position or having experience with contracts with focus on legal terms.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization.
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to handle complex contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships effectively and pragmatic.
• Interested in legal topics and ready to keep up to date with new legislation and interpretation of this.
