“You will join a diverse, global team spread across Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Poland, Bahrain, Riyadh, and Hong Kong. As part of this team, you will source logistics services for Arla’s production sites, warehouses, and distribution centers across the Danish market,” says Procurement Senior Director Markus Leuschen.

About the Role

As our new Procurement Category Manager, you will take ownership of categories like Domestic Distribution, Intermediate, and Inbound Transportation and Warehousing for the Danish market, driving sourcing and supply management activities. Furthermore, you will:

• Develop and execute effective procurement category strategies alongside colleagues and key stakeholders, fostering collaborative success.
• Contribute significantly to Arla’s business by showcasing expert sourcing and negotiation skills, solving issues proactively.
• Engage in projects, applying your procurement skills and logistics insight on strategic, tactical, and operational levels, supporting the business on ad hoc tasks.
• Build strong relationships with our suppliers, ensuring resilient contingency plans for continuous business operations.
• Ensure high end-user satisfaction by working closely with Arla’s logistics organization and our dairies across Denmark.

Additionally, you will cultivate and maintain optimal relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality standards and deliver timely solutions.

Your Background

You hold a relevant education, preferably a Master's degree, complemented by experience in a similar procurement role, with a solid understanding of logistics in an international production setting.

Alternatively, you have robust logistics industry experience with a keen interest in leveraging this within procurement, combined with a strong drive to learn and develop.

You excel in stakeholder management, building strong relations across cultural and professional boundaries, with an open mindset and collaborative spirit. Your communication is adaptable across various organizational levels.

Personally, you are an outgoing, independent change agent with a win-win approach. You are motivated by achieving goals, both independently and through teamwork. Thriving in a dynamic, international environment, you are seen as a role model in behavior and competencies, as well as a problem-solver by colleagues.

Lastly, you are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
