Procurement Category Buyer

Can you combine commercial understanding with a keen interest in the procurement and our sustainable agenda, and continued development of packaging sourcing? If so, this is your op-portunity to join Arla’s Procurement Packaging team.

 

With this position, you will build solid knowledge and develop your skills to enable you to pro-pel your career within Arla Foods, be it within Procurement Packaging or a completely different area. You just have to bring ambition and willingness to learn – we will help you along with the rest.

 

You will join 120 colleagues in Procurement, team spread across Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Poland and Hong Kong. On behalf of our global organization, we manage procurement activities of an annual spend of ~3.5 billion EUR. You will work out of Aarhus and report to our Procurement Director.

 

“As a member of the Procurement Packaging team, you support the massive growing Packaging sustainable agenda and MAC activities across all packaging categories. You will be an active player in daily procurement activities and projects in a strategic, tactical and operational way, along with supporting the business on ad hoc tasks and analytic initiatives.” says Procurement Director Klaus Nybro. 

 

About the job

 

As part of the Procurement Packaging team, you will be welcomed by colleagues leading stra-tegic procurement sourcing projects. You will support and lead cross functional projects relat-ed to our Packaging sustainable agenda and MAC activities. As our new Procurement Category Buyer your main tasks and objectives is as following;

 

• You will lead some of you own preferred suppliers and negotiate contracts, lead con-tract ratification activities and assure that suppliers meet their obligations.

• Facilitate and drive sourcing decisions through development and implementation of ap-propriate tools and processes.

• Develop and launch RFQs / RFPs (request for quotation/proposal) to select suppliers in targeted categories and countries.

• Analyze proposals and make recommendations to key internal stakeholders.

• Support procurement managers in the use of toolbox for high quality.

• Maintain our sharepoint sites and support procurement managers on communication plans and newsletters.

• Support on digitalisation development of models and tools.

• Establish and develop optimal relationships with our suppliers, ensuring that they meet our high-quality standards and deliver timely solutions, products and deliver services at agreed prices.

• Ensure a high level of end-user satisfaction.

 

In addition, you have the ability to work closely together with your colleagues in Procurement, QEHS (quality, environment, health and safety department), our Dairies, Innovation and Market-ing.

 

Who are you?

 

You are self-driven, have a strong commercial mindset,  motivated by digitalization, develop-ment and at the same time you have a big passion for our sustainable agenda . You can build relations and work with many stakeholders across functions and geographical borders. You have the communicative skills to keep people engaged. You are a master of multitasking, ena-bling you to keep multiple processes going at the same time by efficiently planning and coordi-nating your way to success.

 

You thrive in a dynamic, international work environment, where objectives and priorities are un-der continuous development. You have a positive mindset and are motivated by setting stretched goals, growing and becoming better at what you do.

 

You may be a recent graduate with an education at master degree level or similar and you might have a couple of years of experience. If you have procurement experience will that be an advantage.

 

Lastly, you are fluent in written and spoken English.
