In order to deliver the new strategy, AFI Global Planning are expanding and are looking for a Master Production Planning specialist with strong analytical skills and the ambition to make a difference and set new directions.
Arla Foods Ingredients is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group with an ambition to become the true global leader of the value-added whey business.
The Global Planning department is involved in the entire Arla Foods Ingredients planning value chain from Demand Planning, Master Production Planning to Logistical Planning and Business Intelligence reporting. As a team we deliver cross functional fact-based unbiased solutions and leads the monthly S&OP process. How you will make an impact
In cooperation with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the Master Production Planning at one or more production sites balancing raw material, capacity, and customer demand. In addition, you will prepare data for and facilitate meetings with stakeholders as part of the monthly AFI S&OP process. In particular, you will:
- Create monthly production plans for our powder site(s) in close cooperation with local site planning, our headquarters and Arla Global Demand Planning
- Follow up on forecast- and production KPI’s and lead proactive dialogs across Arla and Arla Foods Ingredients functions
- Identify imbalances between supply and demand, and coordinate solutions/scenarios to be escalated in the S&OP or S&OE process
- Prepare meeting material and facilitate meetings in the monthly S&OP process
- Contribute in anchoring the new S&OE process
- Take lead on further developing planning concepts and systems (Excel, APO, PowerBI, BI tools) across Global Planning and the entire organisation
- Challenge current processes and practices by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Have close collaboration with leaders and employees at all levels of the organisation
- Take lead on projects across Global Planning and the wider Arla Foods Ingredients organisation
- Support us in delivering our sustainability goals
What will make you successful
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that has a mix of the following competencies:
- have experience in the Master Production Planning processes and/or you have a degree within Economics or Supply Chain Management or similar
- like to analyse data and prefer to make fact based decisions in cooperation with your stakeholders
- are an advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint(thinkCell) and BI tools including SAP Hana/APO/IBP, with solid understanding of different supply chain activities and processes.
- are persistent and have no problem challenging current ways of working
- thrive working in an organisation, which is constantly growing and you like to take ownership of your responsibilities
- are a competent communicator being fluent in English both verbal and written
- are able to work independently, but also see the value in sparing with your colleagues
