Business Controller - Performance Management - Sipoo

We are currently looking to recruit a Performance Manager to join the finance team at our head office in Sipoo. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to make an impact in an FMCG environment. The role reports directly to the Finance Director and will support driving a performance management culture in the Finnish commercial team. This role will also provide exposure to colleagues across the wider finance community, hence the ability to communicate effectively at all levels is required. We are spearheading future ways of working and therefore we are flexible in terms of location within our core markets in the European zone. However, travelling to Sipoo a 1-2 times per months is required. 

Play a key role in Commercial Finland Performance Reporting
You will be part of the Commercial Finland Finance team working closely with three other colleagues. The objective of the team is to steer the commercial business with high quality business partnering, reporting and planning. You will be a key player in managing the monthly forecasting and reporting processes, and will be broadly required to support the financial and decision-making needs of the Finnish Leadership Team.

The overall objective and responsibility of the position covers following areas:

  • Drive the monthly reporting processes, ensuring timely, accurate and high quality delivery of performance reports to the business
  • Prepare the forecast for commercial activities
  • Become a valued and trusted business partner for the Finnish commercial market (marketing org.)
  • Support the Finnish Leadership Team agenda and decision making
  • Prepare for Market Review and Forecast Review meetings
  • Participate in European Performance Management community
  • Other ad-hoc performance analysis tasks

Strong reporting skills and a true relationship builder
You have a good understanding of financial and performance reporting, accounting principles, as well as practical experience of applying this in a fast and dynamic environment. In addition, you have:

  • A Master´s degree in Finance/Accounting or similar, combined with relevant accountancy experience (3+ years)
  • Thorough commercial understanding is an advantage
  • Pro-active approach to work
  • Self-drive and willingness to try
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Ability to build positive relationships and work in a matrix without formal authority
  • Exceptional Microsoft office skills essential (mainly excel) and SAP knowledge preferable
  • Experience of working with rolling forecasts in a complex environment preferable
  • Effective communication skills, including fluency in English
