Market and Pricing Manager - Aarhus, Denmark

If so, this position as market and pricing manager in Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) could be your next step. In this role, you will be taking on the full responsibility for further developing and implementing our pricing strategy and pricing model. You will get the opportunity to shape and develop your role as you go along.


You will join AFI at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, and will collaborate with colleagues globally.


About the job

You will be part of the AFI Commercial Excellence team, responsible for driving excellence, best practices and effectiveness across the commercial area in AFI. Furthermore, we are responsible for supporting our business processes and projects and improving ways of working across our commercial teams.


Initially, you will be focusing on establishing a strong understanding of our market, by conducting market research analyses and developing market insights that can be translated into business needs.


Another key part of your responsibility will be to lead the development process of our pricing strategy together with cross-functional stakeholders. And based on your analysis, you will also be responsible for building, improving and reviewing our pricing model.


Acting as a go-to person for pricing within our commercial organisation, you will be connecting with several stakeholders across functions and regions to, e.g., discuss price setting or give recommendations on the optimal product mix.


In short, some of your key tasks will be to:


  • Conduct data-driven analysis and insights from the markets and translate these into business needs in order to support frontline sales activities
  • Perform analytical research on industry and market pricing trends, develop pricing related material and communicate regularly to our sales team on market insights
  • Drive the further development of the pricing strategy and continuously improve the pricing model
  • Drive the pricing implementation process and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Further develop and improve commercial operating models, and providing management support and reporting across our Commercial organisations
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional and cross-regional discussions with regards to pricing initiatives


Who are you?

This role calls for analytical skills, allowing you to transform data into actions and recommendations. In addition to that, you will also need to be able to connect with and communicate recommendations to a diverse group of stakeholders – across functions and at all organisational levels.


Furthermore, you:


  • Have a master’s degree in Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics, Statistics or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in pricing development, pricing model/tools 
  • Have passion about working with market research and data analytics with focus on pricing information
  • Are a proactive voice bringing data and insights to value
  • Can analyse large amount of information and translate into quality decision driven recommendations
  • Have strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Might have some familiarity with Power BI and CRM platforms
  • Can manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously
  • Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
