Logistics Manager, Network Design Lead - Aarhus

We are looking for a bright mind with excellent supply chain insight, for a role as logistics manager, leading our network design, as part of the Logistics Centre of Excellence. The objective is to drive the global initiative of developing and delivering a next generation, world-class network design and efficiency.


The Team

As a logistics manager you will report to our Head of Centre of Excellence – Global Warehousing, who’s based in UK . The team is focused on innovation, excellence in execution and developing best in class  solutions for Arla Foods.

As a logistics manager,  Your primary responsibilities will be to Identify and design, manage, and deliver analysis-driven, actionable supply chain network recommendations to support and inform strategically important business decisions.


Key responsibilities will include

  • Work with the wider Arla community to gather, understand, analyse, summarise data pertinent to develop an optimize Arla’s logistics network.
  • You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for Arla’s network in becoming more efficient, cost effective, agile and resilient.
  • Build network optimization models with a systematic engineering approach, to optimal network design, determining the best location and optimal facility size, to ensure an optimal flow of products.
  • Develop ‘what if’ and alternative scenario models to support business decisions.
  • Develop comprehensive analytical solutions to represent the real-world from data, reporting & visualisations to support network optimisation.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, solution alternatives, and calculate benefits for the supply chain.
  • Develop tailor made models E2E, production and or distribution networks. The development includes time working with the team in the markets and regions to gather, assess, check and clean data, and understand the expectations and long term vision.
  • Translate scenario results into tangible information for the stakeholders and operationalised actions.



We are looking for an ambitious supply chain professional, who is able to deliver excellent performance in a multicultural environment, with the ability to conduct both high-level and detailed analyses and transform them into clear recommendations. Furthermore we expect that you have;

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar and some years of relevant supply chain industry experience (planning, production, warehousing, transportation or operational excellence).
  • Extensive experience of network design projects/programmes.
  • Proficiency with concepts like systems architecture, optimisation, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
  • Ideally a good understanding of S&OP elements (would be beneficial).
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills in English.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office suite, especially Excel, Access, PowerPoint and preferably Power BI.


In addition, excellent project management skills, and an internal motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment is prerequisite.
