Legal Counsel - Aarhus

Are you able to collaborate with colleagues at all organizational levels  and capable of communicating and explaining law in an understandable manner and applying it to the situation at hand – sometimes with short deadlines? Then here is your possibility to head for the position as Legal Counsel in the Legal department of Arla Foods.

You will join a global legal team of highly skilled colleagues who take pride in acting as legal business partners, providing legal counsel across all business areas of Arla Foods. You will have legal colleagues in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai.

How will you make an impact

You can look forward to an independent role filled with challenging tasks. You will primarily support Arla Foods' whey ingredients business, acting as a legal business partner alongside other legal colleagues dedicated to this part of the organization. Arla Foods Ingredients operates globally through multiple group companies in Denmark (headquarters), other EU countries, the United Kingdom, South and North America, and Asia. Your main responsibilities will include supporting the supply chain-related aspects of the business, as well as finance and business development. You will mitigate risk by providing legal advice and training, along with drafting, negotiating, and implementing contracts with suppliers. Additionally, you will be flexible in assisting other legal colleagues who support Arla Foods Ingredients in areas such as commercial sales and quality.

What will make you successful     

You hold a Master's degree in Law or Business Law and have professional experience from a law firm or a company. It is essential that you possess a strong interest and knowledge in general corporate commercial matters.

You work independently and excel at juggling and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously. You have a solid understanding of the organization and its stakeholders, while remaining dedicated to delivering quality and service in your solutions. You are an impactful and respected communicator with an easygoing and humorous approach, known for being dynamic, flexible, and committed. As a true team player, you listen to the needs of your stakeholders, work pragmatically, and proactively seek to strengthen relationships—whether for your department or the business.

Finally, your language skills include full proficiency in legal English and preferably one of the Scandinavian languages, both written and spoken.
