Junior Finance Specialist, for students graduating Summer 2022 - Aarhus

Exciting commercial finance role with broad set of responsibilities

Based in Aarhus, Denmark, and reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing Finance, this is a great opportunity to become a part of a dynamic team and develop your analytical skills acquired at university. The tasks will range from detailed analysis, controlling and follow-up, to more high level tasks with link to the big picture. It is both operational (hands-on) tasks as well as working with tactical tasks and strategic topics. Your learning curve will be steep from day one, and the position will give you the opportunity to grow and taking on more complex responsibilities, as your experience develops and also when moving from part time employment to full time employment after graduation.


As Junior Finance Specialist you will have a broad set of responsibilities, including:

  • Valued and trusted partner to Europe Category Directors (on Cheese, Butter, Milk, Yogurt, Powder, Cooking) and their wider teams driving the performance management agenda from a category perspective  
  • Drive performance management for our Apetina brand, both from an European and also International perspective
  • Ongoing category KPI management and follow up
  • Involved in tasks related to category hierarchy, from a finance point of view 
  • SG&A controlling and forecasting for Europe Zone
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues and projects with focus on value creation


Strong analytical skills and a collaborate approach

You have a strong understanding of financial mechanics combined with a commercial and analytical mindset. Preferable you have experience within commercial finance (e.g. as a student job) from a larger organization.


In addition you have:

  • Expected graduation in Summer 2022 with a Master degree in Finance and International Business, Finance, Commercial and Retail Management, or similar
  • Demonstrated solid analytical skills
  • Proactive approach, self-drive and willingness to always try
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (excel and powerpoint)
  • Effective communication skills, including fluency in English
  • Keen eye for detail together with the ability to understand the big picture
  • Ability to work towards strict deadlines
  • Good organizational skills and a natural flair for collaboration and building positive relationships
