Scrum Master, Maternity Cover for 1 1/2 years, Arla IT, Aarhus

Are you a Scrum Master or an Agile Coach ready to take the next step? We are looking for a talented and experienced Scrum Master in the Planning Release Train, in Arla IT, that is responsible for defining Arla Foods’ future planning and forecasting solutions. Join our team of highly skilled people and professionals working truly agile changing the way we are working in Arla.


You will join an international department and you will be working closely with both IT and business colleagues in all our markets. Our Planning IT Solutions team is responsible for building and developing the supply chain solutions for the entire global Arla Foods organization in an Agile setup. We are working with one of the most innovative and widest SAP APO installations in Europe, as well as a very ambitious roadmap to implement IBP to our Demand, Master Production and Supply Planning areas.


About the job


As our Scrum Master, you guide our product teams on how to continuously deliver and improve to get the most out of self-organization, value and outcome orientation and the different events that drives strategic, tactical and operational planning and execution. The functional area you will be working with, is our Planning solutions – specifically SAP IBP, where Arla is on an ambitious journey. Our solutions are applied across different business units and geographic borders. Experience with Planning Solutions such as SAP APO / SAP IBP is recommended but not a must.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Facilitate getting the work done, and drive efficiency and focus through challenging priorities, estimates, and keep the team and individuals focused on the agreed priorities
  • Facilitate planning, retrospective and stand-up meetings – effectively engaging and intervening when disagreements, misunderstandings or other types of impediments needs resolving in or between the teams
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and engagement with the team's customers
  • Support and educate the product owners, especially with respect to timely refinement and engagement around the product backlog and product vision
  • Lead and coach the team in scrum adaption – working as a self organized team member
  • Work with other scrum masters to increase the efficiency of the application of scrum across the train
  • Provide all the above using a servant leadership style, always challenge status quo and leading by example


Who are you?


You are an experienced (IT) Scrum Master, Agile Coach or Project Manager, who is ready take the next step and join a highly skilled agile release train building the Planning future of Arla.


You have experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach using agile principles and conducting Scrum ceremonies.  


To succeed in this role, you also:


  • Have strong oral, written and presentation skills combined with the ability to facilitate meetings and lead group discussions for navigating complex solutions
  • Have a passion for coaching others and you are a true source of inspiration and motivation 
  • Are a phenomenal teammate who enables and constructively support and challenge others to succeed have solid project management skills in terms of prioritizing work, identifying dependencies and blockers to progress


Preferred Skills or Experience - any of these below is a plus


  • Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.
  • Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space
  • Experience with Planning and forecasting tools in Arla or likewise companies (Demand Planning/S&OP/Master Production Planning etc.)
  • Facilitation experience ie. using Liberating Structures, various Retrospective formats etc.
