We’ve gone from 7 to 60 employees in three years, and we’re not done expanding.

Here’s the essence of your new job

The Head of Production is a leadership role heading up our global production pipeline and strategic content creation engine. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day operations while leading and developing a team of 13 people consisting of producers, production specialists and post production specialists - all working across 20+ brands in multiple markets.

  • Lead and grow the production team in delivering both production deliveries (campaign content such as TV commercials, social content, digital OOH, etc.) as well as strategic content creation - we are service partners to our many brands.
  • Work collaboratively with other heads of departments and specialists to ensure client service and that projects are produced in the best possible way.
  • Motivate, remove barriers and advocate for your team and support them in setting and reaching their goals.
  • Secure an ideal mix of internal and external resources balanced across higher complexity and lower complexity productions as well as ensure the right combination of talent and expertise is both utilized and developed where needed.
  • Negotiate contracts, estimate costs and manage studio budget.
  • Supervise and report on intake and resources across our production pipeline.
  • Manage procedures, production workflows, and produce smartly to ensure creative quality is met and projects are delivered on time and in full.
  • Identify and build new partnerships with agencies, production houses and freelance specialists.
  • Use your passion, more than anything, to drive and fulfill the strategic and creative intentions which in turn deliver on the business objectives of our clients.

We have great ambitions for this role and you’ll have the opportunity to build upon and push the strategic vision and for how we intertwine content production, creative development and media.

The candidate // Your profile looks something like this

You have +10 years of experience in creative leadership or across multi-disciplinary campaign and content development (digital, film and other relevant media) providing you with an excellent understanding of processes, workflows, tools and methodologies. You know how to apply these according to project needs in order to fulfill the creative intention.

You identify and shape teams and skillsets to suit multiple production plans and projects.

You have an excellent overview of resources and capacity management and the skills to manage workflow optimization and pipeline innovation.

You have vast experience in managing production partners, directors and suppliers as well as internal production teams: producers, editors, writers and other creative roles. Ideally you have leadership experience from an agency, production house and/or you have worked client side.

You’re equally a motivator and skilled communicator who knows how to empower and motivate your team.

As a person we expect you to be, well, first of all nice. Secondly, having excellent communication skills in English is needed, and we need you to be comfortable with presentations and close collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization.

What do we offer you?

This is your shot at joining an international agency with an entrepreneurial mindset. An agency with full in-house capabilities covering everything from digital media buying/planning, tech/development, creative, strategy and on-site production. You’ll work with people from France, The Netherlands, Argentina, the Philippines and many other lovely places, and, unlike most agencies, we offer a healthy and sustainable work/life balance and actual flexible working. Some say The Barn is one of the best places they’ve ever worked. Must be the informal atmosphere. Or the drive. Maybe both. We’ve built the agency ourselves from the bottom up just the way we like it: Human, ambitious and fun.

If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you! We process applications continuously and close the job opening once the right candidate is landed.
