About the job


This role sits within the European Sales Centre of Excellence that is accountable for achieving ambitious growth and profitability aspirations across the European zone. This is delivered utilising net revenue management, commercial planning, customer planning, sales performance management, channel development and the Arla sales academy.

As the Head of the Net Revenue Growth Management (NRGM) team, your role is to develop the methodology and setting the strategy, objectives & vision for NRGM within Arla, as well as leading the function as we roll out NRGM across our European markets, implementing the new ways of working into Arla´s operating model.


Your responsibilities include:


  • Lead, coach and develop a team of NRGM managers; support the local market NRGM teams
  • Develop the NRGM strategy and lead strategic financial and contracting processes to align with targets, utilising the five levers of NRGM
  • Partner across the organisation leveraging relationships with Sales, Marketing, Supply chain and customer marketing to deliver the transformational programme across the organisation
  • Support the markets to cross-functionally develop and execute holistic plans that drive a sustainable balance of volume, price, and mix growth, using the outputs from NRGM processes
  • Train the Arla commercial teams in NRGM philosophies, tools and executional tactics to build capability across the wider organisation
  • Help drive joint value creation conversations with our customers by grounding our thinking in driving value for Arla; our customers and their customers based on shopper insights
  • Along with the market NRGM  teams, deliver market results, including volume, price, and mix against an agreed set of KPI’s
  • Continuously develop existing NRM methodology with the local teams. Synthesize best practice and share those back with the markets.


Who are you?


You are well versed in the demands of a commercial/consumer environment and have a proven track record of delivering commercially oriented strategies, plans, and results. Using your strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, you are a strong communicator with a well-developed set of influencing skills.


You have at least five years of experience from a commercial role in the Blue Chip FMCG or Grocery Retail sectors (within MS&P/NRGM, sales, finance, category or similar) with P&L responsibility. Candidates from a management consulting background or pricing specialists will also be considered. Further, you


  • Have executive presence and ability to influence critical commercial decisions with senior stakeholders covering market leadership teams
  • Have the ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team to align and coordinate internal resources
  • Are highly numerate with excellent problem solving skills, you display a growth mindset looking to find and implement solutions
  • Are highly independent in thinking and framing problems
