HR Business Partner, Supply Chain, Arla - Aarhus

The role gives you a unique opportunity to play a key role in a large organization where you would partly act as HR Business Partner for supporting functions in the Supply Chain organization and enable Arla’s transformation journey on labor cost management. Arla operates in a matrix organization and our team provides HR support to the leaders at our 60 dairy sites as well as global functions within logistics and SC.


Enabling the execution of business strategy

As a member of the HR Community in Supply Chain, you will act as HR Business Partner for supporting functions like QEHS and Engineering & Technology. Your primary stakeholders will be at our HQ in Aarhus and you will be a key sparring partner to the leadership teams supporting and enabling the execution of the business strategy from an HR perspective.


Besides the role as HRBP, you will also act as project manager for HR related projects in the Supply Chain organization. The projects typically have a strong impact on the organization requiring strong engagement and change management across both SC and the SC HR organizations, where  you will act as a link between HR, Finance and our People Insights team to enable the transformation. You will lead the transformation of the HRBP role into becoming a more data-driven sparring partner able to extract relevant analytics and drive the strategic business agenda through tools such as Power BI. This is among others used to support a global labor cost management project.


You will be part of the Global Supply Chain HR team in Aarhus where you have colleagues with similar roles giving you the possibility to support and challenge each other when needed.


Your daily work will be split and you will spend approx. 60% of your time on your HRBP role and 40% of your time on HR projects driving our transformation.

Key responsibilities


  • Act as a trusted HR business partner to leadership teams on both operational and strategic HR related topics
  • Coach leaders and/or management teams on HR issues linked to the business and HR strategies
  • Identify overall people and organizational needs and implements solutions in line with Arla policies
  • Actively participate in relevant fora contributing to the wider HR strategy and HRBP best practice
  • Make timely decision and professionally manage implementation and transformation expertise to meet business change efforts
  • Support Managers in identifying talents/potentials for the future
  • Acts as a sounding board and provide feedback to line managers on leadership behaviors
  • Ensure managers act in accordance with Policies on Labour Relations
  • Drive strategic HR and business projects within your HR BP areas
  • Drive a general upskilling of HR BPs on becoming data-driven sparring partner in collaboration with other supporting functions like Finance, People Insights etc.
  • Drive change transformation to enable labour cost mgmt. in global Supply Chain organization


The HR Business Partner organization receives operational HR support from a shared service center and on the operational level your role will only be to guide and help the Line Managers towards the right solutions within people related issues. Overall, you will to a large extent shape your own job and significantly influence the HR function with your initiative and drive.


Solid business knowledge combined with interpersonal skills

You hold a degree within business, finance, social science or an equivalent. You have experience within HR preferable as an HR Business Partner or from another function – maybe finance or analytics? – where you have acted as a business partner, and you have experience in driving change and transformation.


You are a strong stakeholder manager and people see you as a trusted advisor due to your personal skills and your business acumen and analytical mindset. Your tool box ideally includes facilitation of people processes, coaching of senior leaders, assessing organizational blue prints, people and leadership development, collective agreements etc., as well as data analysis and project management.


You thrive in a busy environment with a lot of challenges and varying tasks and you are fluent in Danish and English.
