How you will make an impact

As Global Media Relations Officer in our Global Communication Department you will plan and execute agenda-setting public relation activities for Arla Foods. The food industry is under constant attention from the outside world, and in Arla we have many important stories to tell. You will make sure that the right people read, hear and watch those stories.


Being a part of the Global Communication team you will play a central role in the whole organisation and will work closely with different multifunctional stakeholders in and outside the business.


You will further:

  • Oversee communication projects that align with Arla's strategic objectives, including planning, coordinating, and implementing.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and key influencers. This includes handling media inquiries & coordinating interviews
  • Develop and distribute press releases, statements, and other media materials to communicate key messages effectively.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and other colleagues on communication strategies and media relations 


You will have reference to the Head of Global Media Relations and collaborate across Corporate Communication.


What will make you successful


We are looking for a talented Media Relations Manager with:

  • A Strong ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content for various media platforms
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
  • A capability to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies and initiatives that align with the organisation's goals.
  • A willingness to take the lead, anticipate challenges, and act independently to drive communication efforts forward.
  • An honest, transparent, and ethical behavior in all communications and interactions.


In addition to being a highly skilled communicator, you can easily grasp nuances in a complicated, global dairy market and turn them into engaging communication for Arla. You have sound judgement and are used to navigate at all levels in an organisation. Finally we expect strong planning skills and a self-driven approach to the tasks.
