Food Regulatory Specialist (Maternity Cover) - Aarhus

 Arla Foods’ Global Trade Policy & Food Regulatory Affairs team in Aarhus is looking for a food regulatory specialist to provide regulatory guidance, globally. This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave from February 2023 to February 2024. As part of the team you will enable the business to exploit opportunities in food regulatory affairs, secure compliance and create good growth.


Global Trade Policy & Regulatory Affairs (GTPRA) sits within our Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) team and is a corporate service center providing services to all business units and product categories in the Arla Group and global mindset is therefore key. GTPRA enables and ensures compliance with regulations and supports the development of new products and innovations.

  • Provide support to the business, building the necessary knowledge and procedures related to global food regulatory affairs
  • Understanding the different national regulations to support international markets
  • Supporting our different product categories, particularly supporting on new product development projects for products sold both in Europe and various international markets.
  • To provide advice and guidance to the business units on food regulatory requirements related to both mandatory and voluntary information on label, production, evaluation of new technology, product standards and communication including the use of claims etc.
  • Other projects will involve solving problems in relation to the interpretation of current food legislation on food or developing policies and guidelines when relevant.  As a specialist with many touchpoints you will also help to build up local knowledge within the regulatory tasks, to allow the business to act independently when needed.


Who are you?

  • Master’s degree in food science, food technology, dairy science, human nutrition or similar, or have a background in law with focus on food and dairy.
  • Understanding of food legislation and regulatory affairs.
  • Clear and concise communication, being able to translate complex regulatory requirements into a com-mercial setting.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the power and drive to interact with authorities and decision makers.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • As this is a maternity cover position, we are looking for someone to start with us in February   2023.
