Arla Foods’ Global Trade Policy & Food Regulatory Affairs team in Aarhus is looking for a Food Regulatory Specialist, to provide regulatory guidance with the focus on the Danish market. This is a one year temporary position to cover maternity leave from March 2025. As part of the team you will enable the business to exploit opportunities in food regulatory affairs, ensure compliance and create good growth.
Global Trade Policy & Regulatory Affairs (GTPRA) sits within our Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) team and is a corporate service center providing services to all business units and product categories in the Arla Group . A global mindset is therefore key. GTPRA enables and ensures compliance with regulations and supports the development of new products and innovations.

Responsibilities
As a Food Regulatory Specialist you will be a global advisor across countries and sites. You will have many touchpoints and will help build up local knowledge within the regulatory tasks, allowing the business to act independently when needed. Being part of a team of 5 people, you will never be alone and have close collaboration.
Your tasks include, among others:
- Supporting our different product categories, particularly supporting new product development projects for products sold both in Denmark and Europe
- Taking part in the dialogue with Fødevarestyrelsen
- Providing advice and guidance to the business units on food regulatory requirements related to both mandatory and voluntary information on labels, production, evaluation of new technology, product standards and communication, including the use of claims etc. with the focus on Denmark and EU
- Providing support to the business and conducting training in order to build the necessary knowledge, with the focus on the Danish market
- Solving problems related to the interpretation of current food legislation on food or developing policies and guidelines when relevant.
Who are you?
You thrive in an international environment. You have clear and concise communication, being able to translate complex regulatory requirements into a commercial setting. Moreover, you have a solid interpersonal skills and the drive to interact with Fødevarestyrelsen and decision makers.
Furthermore, we imagine that you have:
- A Master’s degree in food science, food technology, dairy science, human nutrition or similar, or a background in law with focus on food and dairy. You can be a recent graduate or have 2-3 years of experience.
- An understanding of food legislation and regulatory affairs
- An understanding of the Danish food regulations and functioning of Fødevarestyrelsen
- Fluency in English and Danish is required.
As this is a maternity cover position, we are looking for someone to start with us in March 2025
