Engineering Design and Projects Portfolio Director, Arla- Viby

How will you make an impact

The position is a consequence of the recent reorganization of E&T, and thus an opportunity to enter the organisation with vision and ambition of how to create a strong foundation going forward. The new Director will be in charge of leading the prioritization of all engineering projects above 2 MEUR in Arla, as well as leading the Capex pipeline which is above 900 MEUR of value.

You will be leading a team of 5 (senior) project managers and experts, and your responsibilities include;

• Lead the design, exploration and development phase of engineering for all E&T projects and scenarios
• Lead the prioritization process for all Arla engineering projects > 2 MEUR
• Develop the solutions for the strategic network projects
• Develop and maintain the design and costing tools
• Engineering SPOC for various stakeholders inside and outside supply chain : S&OP, Capex procurement, OBP functions, Finance Eurozone, AIC, Stronghold & commercial teams
• Lead and coordinate the Capex projects pipeline (>900 MEUR)
• Lead the investment flows with alignment and preparation of projects document for Capex Gates toward our Investment Board
• Insure the best selection of technology / design / engineering approach / locations for the 2.5 BEUR investments of the 5y Arla capex roadmap.

Your team will be in charge of collecting business input from relevant stakeholders to ensure the optimal Arla capex roadmap, and ensure a strong and transparent link to the technology and project execution teams.

How will you succeed

As a Director, you bring clear capabilities of managing all aspects of complex and challenging projects. You bring strong leadership skills and can expertly work with stakeholders internally and externally while building networks and drive decision making across a global matrix organisation. Your structured approach to projects allows you to balance priorities and set direction across multiple large, high profile projects. 

Furthermore:

• You have a degree in the field of engineering and in-depth knowledge of dairy processes, technologies, design and methodologies
• You are passionate about manufacturing/engineering technology with the drive to manage change,  improve our performance and create best in class production environments. 
• Your fluency in English is essential, with knowledge of Danish/Swedish/German/Dutch an advantage. 

This position typically requires the necessary travel to key locations and strategic suppliers visits, generally (but not exclusively) within Europe.
