We are seeking a talented and experienced Director of Logistics Centre of Excellence to manage our fleet, warehouse, and efficiency centre of excellence as well as driving digital transformation initiatives within the logistics organization.

How you will make an impact

As the Director of Logistics Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction to the Fleet, Warehouse, and Efficiency centers of excellence. In this role, you will steer the development and implementation of initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness, utilizing technology and automation to drive digital transformation. You will likewise have the people management responsibility of a team, including 5 direct reports located in Aarhus and Copenhagen. Here, you will support and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance and mentoring to drive individual and collective success. Moreover, you will:

• Ensure compliance with regulations, foster a culture of safety, and implement best practices across all logistics activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives
• Create a supportive and inclusive work environment, fostering professional growth, and effectively managing performance

What will make you successful

The successful candidate should possess exceptional leadership abilities, demonstrating the capability to provide strategic guidance and inspire a high-performing team. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and aligning logistics strategies with overall business objectives. Additionally, you should exhibit excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to optimize operational efficiency and address logistics challenges. Not least, a strong focus on fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and best practices is important, requiring attention to detail and the ability to inspire and motivate others to adhere to a safety-first culture. Further, you:  

• Have extensive experience in logistics operations, preferably in a frontline role, with a deep understanding of the end-to-end logistics process
• Have proven track record in driving digital transformation initiatives within the logistics or supply chain domain
• Possess strong knowledge of warehouse management, fleet management, and efficiency optimisation techniques
• Are able to travel 20%+ if location is in Aarhus, Denmark. If located outside Denmark, you can expect 70 % travel. Relocation will be expected if located outside core markets (i.e., Denmark, Sweden, United Kingdom, Finland, Netherlands and Germany)
