Strategic Planner, Aarhus

Do you have the skills and mindset to set the strategic direction for our wonderful range of FMCG brands from Starbucks to Kærgården?

Our in-house agency – The Barn – was created two years ago to help our global and local brands win in a world of increasing media complexity. Today, we have strong teams specialising in campaign development and digital asset creation, strategy and planning, analytics, media buying and tech.

We need to further strengthen our strategic planning and look for a Planner to be responsible for the strategic direction for a number of our global and local brands.

Reporting into our Head of Planning, you will spend most of your time working hand-in-hand with your creative partners as well as consulting your brand manager colleagues on communications and digital strategy.

As our planner, you will:

  • Bring clarity of thought to complex challenges
  • Be an advocate for the consumer perspective in everything you do
  • Help your creative partners make the most impactful work possible
  • Be connected to culture and the trends that shape it
  • Help your clients make the best decisions for their brands
  • Collect and apply campaign learnings ongoingly
  • Write briefs and strategies, build connections plans and audience profiles.

Who are you?

  • You are exceptionally curious, and your interests cover a wide range of topics
  • You’re left/right brain thinker; you’re equally comfortable working with people and numbers
  • You are proactive and persistent.
  • You feel ownership of and pride in your work, even if the project is small and executional.
  • You have strong opinions but hold them loosely
  • You are comfortable getting your ideas challenged
  • You speak English and write well

You also bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience with agency planning and strategy. You might have a deep T expertise in either creative or digital planning.
  • Strong communication skills; you’re a confident presenter and able to form trusted relationships with anyone.
  • Great stakeholder management – experience navigating a matrix organisation a plus.

What do we offer?

The opportunity to join a different kind of agency with full inhouse capabilities covering everything from digital media buying/planning, tech/development, creative, strategy and on-site production facilities.

As Arla’s internal agency, we are not under pressure to deliver bottom-line growth. We have colleagues, not clients. Instead, we focus our energy on building the best communications and digital solution for our wonderful range of brands including Lurpak, Starbucks, Castello and Arla.

We are fiercely ambitious and have hired from global hubs like London, New York and Singapore. But, unlike most agencies, we also offer healthy and sustainable work/life balance and real flexible working.
