Customer Category Manager - Aarhus

About the job 

 

In Viby, Aarhus, you join a team of specialists who work with category, channel, shopper and customer development. Specifically, you will be a part of the Customer Marketing team and sit with the responsibility for one of our largest customer. Based on market insights, data analysis, and in-depth category and customer knowledge,  you enable our sales and marketing teams to make informed decisions about business case development, NPD rationale, and improving existing product range, to name a few. You will also partner with one of our largest accounts to help them improve its sales performance. Your responsibilities include: 

 

  • Deliver compelling conclusions and recommendations to colleagues and customers about product range, price, promotion, place and product launches
  • Develop robust customer and category plans and long-term strategies to optimize total category sales and help us to ensure that Arla’s relevance is clear to customers
  • Proactively challenge how we and our customers think and act. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in ways of working, processes, tools and research, and test and learn activities. Sharing customer and category development ideas with a wide range of colleagues, you will contribute to develop and share best practice across our category management teams globally
  • Generate new compelling shopper, point of fixture and/or consumer knowledge together with internal and external research specialists including e-commerce/online

 

Who are you? 

 

The right candidate for this position holds a business related bachelor level degree and minimum 3 years of experience working in a category or sales role in an FMCG company or retailer, and if combined with e-commerce/online experience, it would be an asset. Your excellent data understanding and -skills, analytical toolbox, and your ability to transform data into actionable insights is paramount for your success in this position. Your positive and proactive approach and excellent stakeholder management skills make you an attractive partner to both our internal teams and our customers. It is a great advantage if you are a super user of Microsoft 365 (especially Excel and PPT for reporting), and are familiar with Nielsen, GfK, retailer POS data and Catman. Finally, you communicate effortlessly in English and Danish.
