Communication Specialist - Maternity Cover, Aarhus

As Communication Specialist in Arla Foods’ Corporate Communication Department you’ll plan and execute agenda-setting content through various channels, including the press, our website, social media and professional stakeholders. We have a straightforward tone and lots of exchanges of opinion.

 

Driving agenda-setting communication
You’ll be based at our headquarters in Viby near Aarhus, Denmark, where you’ll tell the story of one of the biggest companies in the food industry, its activities and proud history working with professional stakeholders, employees, farmer owners and consumers around the world. 

 

Among other things, you will:
-    Deliver communication and support to inspire belief in Arla and the future of dairy 
-    Drive big, agenda-setting projects related to sustainability and health
-    Support the seven-day-a-week press office 
-    Respond to complex media inquiries and prepare proactive stories enhancing reputation
-    Offer expert communication advice internally 
-    Advise on crisis management and handling of sensitive issues

 

Experience with public relations and project management
You have an interest in and ability to develop, plan and execute content through the press and various other channels. You are an excellent copywriter and have the desire and willingness to communicate proactively and reactively with external stakeholders. You are also driven by having a broad interface with various functions across a large organisation from brand managers to digital specialists. 

 

You are positive, energetic by nature and able to make decisions quickly. You are sociable, open to new tasks and challenges, and not afraid to take responsibility or jump into something completely un-known.

 

We expect that:
-    You are structured and can keep track of multiple tasks at once 
-    Can adhere to strict deadlines without compromising the details
-    You have been working with communication (preferably PR) for 5+ years in a commercial setting, at an agency or as a news journalist
-    You have experience with project management and working with external agencies
-    You have an eye for creating synergies between internal and external stakeholders
-    You have a master’s degree in communication, journalism or PR
-    You speak and write fluent English
