Commercial Innovation Manager, Arla Denmark - Aarhus

Then you may be the one we are looking for in our “Commercial Innovation Team”! We offer an exciting role within a highly prioritized area, where you will work together with our strong marketing teams to develop our categories and brands in Arla Denmark.

 

About the job

Innovation in Arla is driven from several places – globally, regionally and locally. Locally, we have a small team that supports the local brands and categories in their innovation work, and is in charge of the Danish innovation stage-gate process.

 

In this position, you will help the categories and brands in creating an inspiring innovation pipeline, challenge the conventional thinking, and inspire new ideas based on future trends, observations and out-of-the-box thinking. You will then take lead on the more complex innovation projects that require dedicated project management. Besides that, you will have the day-to-day responsibility for the local innovation process , where you – in close cooperation with the head of the team – will ensure an efficient decision-making processes, support your marketing colleagues, and strive to improve the way we work with innovation in Arla Denmark.

 

Your typical work will include:

  • Securing constant progress from concept development towards launch on the innovation projects you are responsible for. Aligning with all internal stakeholders – Brand/Category team, NPD, Supply chain, Sales etc.  
  • Support and challenge your marketing colleagues on their innovation projects (brand managers typically drive simple line extensions and market roll-outs themselves)
  • Sparring with your team members on: your own projects, other ongoing projects, and how to drive the Danish innovations agenda forward
  • Sparring and aligning with other innovation teams sitting in Skejby (Arla Innovation Centra), Zone Europe and Global Marketing  
  • Periodically, preparing and leading the stage/gate meetings. Also, together with relevant stakeholders, challenge and improve the way we work innovation in Arla Denmark.

 

Who are you?
We imagine that the right candidate has deep knowledge around innovation project management and corporate innovation processes (stage/gate or similar), gained from 3+ years of work experience in FMCG.

  • You bring a passion for driving commercial results and creatively developing brands and categories through innovation.
  • On one hand, you are able to drive projects forward in a structured way, maintaining focus on the details, and aligning with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • On the other hand, you can challenge conventional thinking, come up with new ideas and inspire your colleagues to think 2-3-4 years ahead. Moreover you are an excellent communicator with a curious attitude and open mindset, as you’ll work with a very broad range of stakeholders across the Danish Arla business.

You must be fluent in English, and being fluent in Danish is seen as a big advantage.
