Are you motivated for a challenging role where you combine your category- or brand marketing expertise with your commercial mindset to drive growth across the yoghurt and skyr portfolio in the Danish market? Then this exciting position as Category Manager for the yoghurt category in Arla Denmark might be for you!

 

You will join our Marketing department with 50 passionate and skilled colleagues and be part of the Milk & Yoghurt category team, whilst having a close link to the local Arla brand team. You will take on a broad role on both strategic and operational level, from developing and executing the category plans, over performance management, to project lead on strategic projects. The role is based in Viby, Aarhus, and reports to the Associate Category Director. 

 

How you will make an impact 

In this newly established role, you will play a crucial part in setting the long-term direction for the yoghurt category. In close cooperation with the respective brand managers, you will be responsible for securing that our category portfolio keeps on developing to meet consumer- and customer needs, identify growth opportunities, develop product concepts and lead the new product development process. You will provide actionable recommendations on product assortment, pricing and NRM opportunities to enhance category success.

 

Having a large stakeholder base across functions and geographies, you will work closely with product- and project managers who organizationally sit in other teams. You will be able to activate your entire marketing and commercial toolbox and work with famous household brands like Cheasy®, Yoggi® or Arla Cultura®.
 

More concretely, you will:

  • Lead the yoghurt category strategy development and -execution
  • Drive performance management, including price analysis and identifying growth opportunities in all parts of the P&L
  • Lead commercial, cross-brand projects in the category
  • Lead selected innovation projects for the Cheasy® brand from idea to launch, in close collaboration with colleagues across the value chain  

 

What will make you successful

You are commercially savvy with a flair for detecting and developing business opportunities, gained from previous category, brand, or commercial roles. Furthermore, you are an experienced project manager who is comfortable in leading cross-functional teams, and ideally you have successfully taken innovations from idea to execution in the market. You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field. Experience in the FMCG industry will be seen as an advantage and full English proficiency is a must.

  • Demonstrate a strong combination of strategic thinking and executional focus
  • Are energized by working both with long-term category development and on short-term tasks, whenever needed
  • Thrive in a matrix organization, where you use your positive disposition to easily build commitment and trust with stakeholders, and exert influence without always having direct authority
  • Are an excellent communicator with an analytical and structured way of working
