Business Owner of Arlagården IT Platform

Ready to become the business owner of the Arlagården® IT Platform, used by 10,000 farmers across 7 countries in Europe?

Step into this newly established position and help us drive our farm performance programmes regarding milk quality, farm management and sustainability.

“You will be a key agent driving our farm performance forward by developing the effectiveness of our Arlagården IT tool – a platform that ensures delivery of high quality standards and is crucial to Arla’s success,” says Vicky Porteus, Head of Farm Performance.

About the job

As our new business owner, you will join our Farm Performance Programmes team (FPP) with around 30 colleagues based in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and the UK. Here, you will collaborate closely with colleagues that develop Arla’s leading farm standards, auditing, animal welfare and sustainability programmes.

The Arlagården® Platform is an online tool that keeps the farmers – our members – abreast of the standards they need to meet and enables Arla to perform auditing and ensure high quality. Your job will be to continuously develop this platform and manage change processes to make sure it works effectively as a tool for our farmers and owners and that it supports our auditing initiatives.

Collaborating closely with your team, our audit lead, and the IT team, some of your key tasks will be to:

  • Manage planned and proposed changes and maintain an overview of the change pipeline for the IT platform (including amends to standards, audit, self-assessment, page text and structure)
  • Manage changes related to bigger or smaller updates of the IT system from idea to implementation
  • Lead and participate in effective testing before deployment of changes in collaboration with IT to make sure the required changes are correctly implemented
  • Manage decision processes to get various changes anchored in the business
  • Ensure that monthly statistical reporting is completed to ensure compliance and accurate business reporting

Who are you?

You have the ability to work across the entire organisation, stay on top of project plans and spot risks as well as opportunities that will drive the project forward. With your great communication skills, you are able to present project statuses to your team and other stakeholders to make sure we are all on the same page.

Furthermore, you:

  • Bring solid project management experience and strong stakeholder management skills from a similar international matrix organisation
  • Preferably possess agricultural knowledge and experience
  • Have the ability to work on both a strategic and operational level
  • Speak and write English fluently

What do we offer?

Besides joining a market leader in farm programmes, sustainability and milk quality, you will enter an agile and global team that works across countries and functions in Arla. We will bring out the best in you, and you will continuously experience opportunities to grow and develop your strengths.

You can be based at one of our global head offices, preferably at our HQ in Aarhus (Denmark). However, we are flexible when it comes to your location, and you can also work from Stockholm (Sweden), Düsseldorf (Germany) or Leeds (the UK) – or within striking distance of these offices.
