Arla's in-house agency The Barn was established two years ago to help Arla’s global and local brands make campaigns born out of a digital mindset. Today, we have a full creative team specialized in concept development and digital execution. We collaborate with our agency colleagues within the fields of strategic planning, tech & data, media buying and production.


Does this sound like you?


As an Art Director, you live and breathe creativity. You’re used to working with creative briefs, concept processes and you can’t help coming up with ideas. You think outside the box and you’re able to define concepts on all levels – brand to product ideas. Part of your DNA is to enjoy the creative crafting process of making content work in different formats and lengths. You care for executions and detailing, and you dig into the granularity. You follow digital trends within the creative industry naturally. You have an open mind and you’re not afraid to collaborate and speak your mind. 


  • Solid experience from a similar role within a creative digital agency or inhouse department. Min 4 years of experience.
  • Interest in food, cooking, and the nuances within the world of culinary experiences.
  • The ability to make your ideas be understood through visuals and copy
  • Craft and experience in building creative presentations and argumentation.
  • Excellent skills within breaking down concepts from early ideation to tangible production; writing scripts, production briefs, working with directors, photographers, and editors.
  • Knowledge of the digital sphere and how campaigns can unfold across channels
  • Experience with multichannel thinking
  • Self-management skills, and ability to work with a variety of project lifespans
  • Fluency in English


Here’s your new role


You will have a central role in the creative team, where you will develop creative concepts, ideas, and work with strategists and specialists within the digital field to shape campaigns of high quality.

You will be responsible for developing concepts for category, brand and product campaigns, and ensure that solutions are “on brand”. You will be responsible for the creative life cycle – from brief and concept to execution and production – keeping your eyes on balls from A-Z in the project. Our clients include global Arla brands such as Lurpak, Castello and Cocio but also highly strategic Danish brands like Kærgården and Karolines Køkken.


As part of working in our digital agency you’ll:


  • Participate in creative workshops to develop new ideas and concepts with your team
  • Follow creative directions and develop brand campaigns, product campaigns, activation ideas. Make campaigns come to life in content that lives across channels; social, OLV, owned channels, digital display and sometimes OOH and TV.
  • Articulate and present creative ideas to the brand teams and marketing community
  • Support junior creatives and collaborate with colleagues to deliver campaigns of the highest quality for all digital touchpoints
  • Share your view, your learnings and observations as being part of a creative team and culture.
  • Take ownership and use your entrepreneurial mindset to make things work in an emerging department.
