Account Manager, Advanced Nutrition Manufacturing, Arla Foods Ingredients - Aarhus

You will become a part of Arla Foods Ingredients – an independent company within the Arla Foods Group. We are a global leader in natural whey ingredients for many different categories, including bakery, beverages and dairy as well as infant and sport nutrition. Here, you will join our Advanced Nutrition Manufacturing team, selling third party manufacturing and private label solutions to customers, including retail chains and other nutrition product manufacturers around the world.


About the job

Your role will be an important expansion of the ANM Sales team. In the role as Account Manager, you will report directly to the director of, Advanced Nutrition Manufacturing and be based in Viby. Together with our other sales people you will be responsible for maintenance and growth of our business. In the role as Account Manager you will be assigned an area of responsibility where you will identify and pursue sales leads and visit existing and new customers. You will develop sales skills and knowledge of ANM’s products, value chain and services and customers by working closely with the AFI commercial teams, supply chain and support functions.


Within an assigned geographical area you will be responsible to meet our sales targets and other objectives by:

  • Assessing customer needs and suggests appropriate products and services.
  • Responding to customer enquiries.
  • Investigating new business potentials via market development and industry trend reports
  • Optimizing prices and value offer to customers
  • Driving and executing on account plans together with the assigned account teams
  • Using customer relations management (CRM) systems, sales analytics, pricing excellence tools etc.


Who are you?

You are self-driven, motivated by achieving goals, a strong commercial mindset and at the same time you have a big passion for nutrition. You can build relations and work with many stakeholders across functions, companies and geographical borders. You have the communicative skills to keep people engaged. You are a master of multitasking, enabling you to keep multiple processes going at the same time by efficiently planning and coordinating your way to success. And you are motivated by setting stretched goals, growing and becoming better at what you do.


Furthermore, you:

  • Hold a master’s degree in food science, engineering, business, marketing or equivalent
  • Have previously worked with sales, marketing or business development in the food or pharmaceutical industry
  • Are fluent in English


You can look forward to gaining an extensive contact base and should expect approximately 30-50 travel days per year.
