Account Lead for The Barn (maternity cover) - Aarhus

Can you fill the shoes as a strategic partner to our brand teams such as Lurpak, Castello, Starbucks and Arla – and ensure best-in-class digital campaigns are delivered by The Barn, Arla’s in-house digital agency?


The Barn, was created three years ago to help our global and local brands win in a world of increasing media complexity. Our growth and success have been tremendous, and today, we have a strong team specializing in campaign development and digital asset creation, strategy and planning, analytics, media buying and tech. In this 1-year maternity cover as Account Lead, you will get to play a central part in our agency operations setup.


About the job 


As an Account Lead, you join the Account team in The Barn, and you will play a key role in building strong relationships with our brand teams and delivering them best-in-class digital campaigns that drive Arla Foods’ exciting and ambitious digital transformation agenda. The Account Manager represents the brands within The Barn, ensuring the brand perspective is understood and objectives are being met.


You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship with our brand teams, and you will be a strategic sparring partner collaborating with them on digital plans and briefs that will drive their business objectives.


Furthermore, your responsibilities include:


  • Gain a deep understanding of key brands’ yearly plans, as well as business and category challenges and opportunities in order to become a strategic partner
  • Collaborate with the brand teams, external agency partners, and the full internal Barn team on briefs and projects
  • Conduct all brand-facing meetings throughout the development process on projects
  • Hold evaluation sessions with the brand teams after larger projects to feedback and capture learnings for next time
  • Regularly present key themes, learnings or case studies in Brand Manager Forum meetings
  • Create a yearly joint business plan in conjunction with the brands you are responsible for and follow through on agreed upon actions and goals for progressing the partnership


You will work closely with the entire team at The Barn (creatives, data and tech specialists, and media buyers) and all in all, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening The Barn’s relationship and collaboration with the brands and boosting the overall satisfaction that the brands have in working with The Barn.


Who are you? 
The perfect candidate will either have prior experience from a digital agency, advertising agency or a media agency, or be an experienced brand manager with a strong background in brand communication. You have a strong understanding of and enthusiasm for digital marketing and the briefing and creative development process, and good knowledge of general marketing & brand building fundamentals, preferably within an FMCG context.


Great communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial as you will be the point of contact for our brands handling briefs, anticipate and interpret desired outcome and help both the brand and our team navigate in a common direction. You would mostly say “Yes! We can”, but also know that both quality and deadlines must be met.


You must be fluent in English both spoken and written.  Fluency in Danish is not required, but would be a benefit.
