Business Development Manager - Health & Performance Nutrition - Aarhus

Do you have a strong commercial mindset and nutrition knowledge that you are ready to put in use to boost international sales? Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group, with an ambition to become the true global leader of the value-added whey business.

 

You will be part of the Strategic Business Unit Health & Performance based in AFI headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. We develop, document, market, and sell specialized ingredients for the global medical, health and sports nutrition industry.

About the job

 

As Global Sales Development Manager you organize and orchestrate our sales development activities and make sure our value proposition is crystal clear in sales materials, website and every interface towards our customers. Furthermore, you play a crucial role in leading/directing internal projects as well as our activities towards selected global customers. You will thereby have a massive impact on our immediate sales and facilitate that our ingredient and concept pipeline for the coming years will continue to flourish.  

 

   Your daily responsibilities include:

 

  • Lead the development of sales materials for our key ingredients and concepts
  • Act as interface towards marketing in concept developments, promotions, website-contents and development of marketing materials
  • Set direction on internal projects such as application projects with our Application Science & Technology department
  • Facilitate ingredient NPD and concept ideation sessions by engaging key colleagues
  • Lead product portfolio management from business unit perspective
  • Lead our sales development activities towards selected global key accounts

 

Who are you?

 

You hold a master’s degree, can present excellent project management skills and are passionate about nutrition and creating outstanding business results. Furthermore, you have previously worked with sales, marketing or business development in the food or pharmaceutical industry. Your track record demonstrates your strong commercial mindset and your ability to identify USPs and present a clear value proposition.

 

You are highly structured and drive processes in an organized and professional manner. While being self-propelled you also have extraordinarily good communication and interpersonal skills that ensure a smooth collaboration with colleagues at all levels in the organization and from various cultural backgrounds.

 

Last, but not least, you are proficient in verbal and written English, possess excellent presentation skills and work seamlessly with PowerPoint. You can look forward to gaining an extensive contact base and should expect approximately 10-25 travel days yearly.
