We are an independent company within the Arla Foods Group and a global leader in natural whey Ingredients for many different Industries including beverage, dairy, bakery, infant and sport nutrition.

How you will make an impact

Your overall objective will be to develop new applications and build protein knowledge within the bars and bakery area focusing on nutrition and physio-chemical properties.

Your main tasks will be:

• Responsibility for application support in development of new ingredients
• Management of knowledge application projects
• Participation in development of new concepts illustrating the capabilities of our ingredients
• Technical support to customers and our sales colleagues
• Participation in customer visits and – seminars
• In close collaboration with our application technicians formulate new recipes, set up pilot scale and laboratory trials, followed by documentation and presentation of findings

Your work involves activities in cross-functional teams within AFI. This include scientific as well as commercial departments.

The position will require some travel activities.

What will make you successful

We imagine that the right candidate holds a PhD or a Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry or similar, and if you have knowledge within protein chemistry, use of ingredients into protein bars it will be a plus. You have experience within product development, project management and food processing. Experience with protein bars technology and formulations will be also an advantage. More importantly, you take a strong interest in developing your skills within these areas. Seeing your ideas and innovations be brought into practice when new ingredients are developed to the market is a powerful motivation for you.

As a person you are open-minded and positive, innovative and a skillful communicator, who is able to network with many important stakeholders. Moreover, you know that proper and systematic documentation is an important part of successful project management, and you value teamwork as a tool to achieve results successfully. You are proficient in written and spoken English.
