Senior Manager Customer Logistics Development

Are you an experienced leader with a good knowledge of customer service and logistics? This is an opportunity for you to lead a very engaged Customer Logistics Development team as well as being a critical part of the Logistics management team in Arla Sweden. We are looking for a passionate and change-driven senior leader who wants to further strengthen our partnerships with our customers and drive internal process improvements!

 

About the role

You will lead and develop the Customer Logistics team; a group with customer logistics managers, customer coordinators, claims coordinators and load carrier coordinators. Together the team of 14 employees (4 direct reports) focus on the development of Arla’s partnership with customers. The role includes the development of cooperations with customers and internal cooperation on orders and product flow within Arla Foods, both on a strategic/tactical and on operational level.

 

Customer Logistics have a central role within Arla Foods and is an important part of the development of the long-term work with our larger customers. We are constantly working on improvements in accordance with Lean and place great emphasis on professionalism. You will be an important part of our partnership with customers and get a large internal network and the opportunity to influence our future development. You will report to the Senior Logistics Director and you will be a part of the Logistics management team in Sweden and also be expected to contribute to the overall global logistics agenda in regards to Customer Logistics. In this role you will drive and develop Sweden Logistics together with your team and the Logistics management team. As you will have team members at various Arla locations, you can expect some travel in this role.

 

Who are you?

You have a M.Sc. in Engineering (preferably with Business or Logistics). You have previous experience with being a people manager and leading through other as well as experience from logistics and development of customer relationships. Previous experience from FMCG is seen as an advantage.  As your team is located at different locations it is also a plus if you have experience from leading a virtual team. You also have knowledge and experience within continuous improvements and optimization work in accordance with Lean to continuously drive for increased customer benefits. In addition a background from sales could be beneficial.

 

You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speaking and writing and are responsive and clear in your communication. To thrive in this role you need to have excellent leadership skills and an ability to lead your coworkers to good results. You like to take your own initiatives while at the same time contributing to a collaborative work environment.
