EHS Operational Support Manager in Sweden & Finland, Arla - Stockholm, Sweden

In recent years Arla has made significant gains in step changing its EHS culture., and we are now ready to invest in a highly skilled EHS Manager to be our lead  in Sweden & Finland within Environmental, Health & Safety. The role do not have line manager responsibilities.

The role will be based from our Stockholm office and will report to the Global Environment, Health & Safety Director.

 

Provide EHS leadership and guidance to our Sweden & Finland Supply Chain
As the EHS Manager, you will be the voice of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) within Arla to provide equal visibility and importance to other business priorities. You will give subject matter expert guidance, in alignment with  global QEHS agenda, responsible to develop local initiatives and a key stakeholder in global initiatives that drive risk reduction across Environment, Health & Safety including establishing organisational competence (skills, knowledge and behaviours).

 

Your key areas of responsibilities will be:

  • Support SE/FI QEHS Business Partner and operational teams in ensuring compliance to internal and external standards
  • Simplify and harmonise ways of working for the Sweden and Finland organization in accordance to Arla Integrated Management Systems
  • Support serious incident and crisis management situations, including contact to authorities
  • Monitor and targeting EHS related metrics and KPI’s
  • Work collaboratively across the business to share EHS learnings and best practices
  • Be the primary link to relevant authorities, industries and certifying bodies on environmental matters

 

Program lead experience and strong EHS background

To be successful in this role, we expect that you have solid experience of working with Environmental, Health & Safety matters, ideally in a similar role related to food production and experience in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders across FMCG operations, retailers and logistics. In addition, you probably also have experience of working within a Program Manager role and hold a degree within e.g. Chemical Management, food science/technology or similar and country relevant accreditations within Environment, Health & Safety.

As a person, you show both integrity and judgement and you build positive relationships and demonstrate collaboration with others. You have a strong personal impact and drive demonstrating passion for health and safety. You are intellectual and have analytical power to handle complexity, and you must be able to work at both operational and strategic levels. You must also have the ability and track record of successfully influencing local management teams.
